Quick story of buck yesterday - 01/09/22 04:30 PM
I saw that buck opening weekend of bow season by pure accident and seen him a couple more times crossing the road there. Told guys at club yeah there’s a goodun over there and they just didn’t take me serious I guess because that area is loaded with small deer. Fast forward to last week I’m sitting there and he bolts out of a flooded bottom full speed across the field and I got him in scope but didn’t want to take a full blown running shot. I didn’t have high hopes of seeing him yesterday and it was 527 and I start getting down because I didn’t want to mistake another buck for him that close to dark. Standing on the ladder of the shooting house I look left and there he stands, shot him off the ladder at 529. Damn near fell off the ladder when the shakes kicked in.

Ah yeah, good story and outcome. It’s crazy how easily we can mess up opportunities but lucky for us we can save things at last second sometimes.
