Texas outfitter - 12/05/21 02:08 PM
The Texas outfitter I've used out in the panhandle lost a lot of land this year. I'm looking for somewhere else. Do any of you have recommendations. We always went out on a group hunt of 4 to 8 hunters.. Thank you

Cactus jackšā¦thats what folks in pearsall,TX got to callin meā¦i had a hjnter wound a deer..i jumped it but its front legs had been completely broken..i ran around a big mesquite to cut it off an finish it with a pistola..there was a prickly pear big as a beetle an i form tackled that sucker..luckily my brother shot the deer..but i was in bad shape..i pulled cactus hairs out of me for a month not to mention the spines that stuck all in my front of person..including my face..i bled more than the deer.
A buddy went on a hunt in Texas and shot a huge 14 pt. buck but he said it was one of the least satisfying hunts he had ever been on because within a hour of sitting down he had a parade of more than 10 bucks eating at a corn feeder. He said the feeder goes off, the bucks show up. The ground was bare dirt in the whole area. Saw over 30 bucks in a couple days but they have small bodies too.

Yep, nothing can ruin a hunt faster than too many bucks showing up........

So why did he go to Texas then? That's why most go there for the numbers and quality.

A quick google search of "Premier Hunting Ranch Texas" will give you lots of info...
I prefer first hand info over what someone can put on a website......

Casey I just texted Chase the pic at around 4 pm and said we all need to go! I am in if you are Bud!
I went the year COVID started in Jan 2020 and shot a mid 140s but nothing like Matts buck. And in 2019 I shot that 130's buck there .
I Love Texas hunting. There is nothing like it. Best bang for the dollar IMO for seeing a lot and taking home one for the wall . Lets plan a trip
