Youth Weekend Day 1 - 11/12

Sitting in the edge of a 2 year old clear cut with my son - have had bucks on camera in two spots everyday for 2 weeks (until Wednesday- it’s like they flipped a switch and moved on)

Me and my oldest boy are at it this afternoon. One fawn so far. Got an old 8 point and a 10 point that are regulars in this spot and I’d be absolutely tickled if he can get one of them.

Didn't see any this evening

Saw our resident doe and baby. Son saw a bobcat slip around behind us. We saw deer so I’ll take it!

Saw a ton of deer driving up to the farm along the interstate. Got here with 4 minutes left. Nothing in the nearest field.

My daughter decided bucks only for her. Atleast we had some close action. She was still shaking like a leaf

My 5 yr old got his first! Pretty proud of him! He did it all by himself so that was pretty cool.

I begged mine to go. Neither one of them are the least bit interested in actually hunting anymore. I say they like the idea of hunting but really only like riding atvs and roasting s’mores. Guess I’ll just go bow hunting and do a little last minute work around camp before next weekend. But good luck to all the youth this weekend and congrats to the ones that have already got em one.

I took my 4.5 year old son with me this evening since it was such a nice, warm afternoon. It’s rifle season already here in Zone D…We had 4 does/fawns within 30 yards of the shooting house when a coyote came running into the field at 5 pm. The coyote didn’t make it out of the field!!! Emory talks a big game about killing deer and coyotes, but he wouldn’t get within 2’ of the dead coyote when I wanted a picture of him

Mine just turned 9 and can't keep still...he was breaking every little branch he could get his hands on then I stepped on a big one getting situated and he looks up n says "daddy your telling me to be quiet? " lol I said u ain't scaring deer I just can't hear when your doing that crap
