LFTT 1/8
I’m beat down but the time is right, should be a good weekend with this front moving through and the colder weather. Hope to catch a chase, I think tomorrow will be the day but I’m off so here we go. Gonna start near a green field surrounded by a thicket between two creeks by the river. Good luck fellas!
I’m here and tired. Sitting in a select cut ridge near a greenfield and bedding area.

Add sleet and snow to cold, damp and windy
Temps seem to be dropping, They are moving, just had a doe ease Through with a spike right behind her. Had another doe cross the roadbed with nothing behind her yet.

Huh. Never knew that. Learned something today
I finally saw a 4 year old buck this morning and am tickled to death to have him on the ground!!! This has been a tough, tough season for me (as far as seeing an older buck)...He’s a 144 lb. “run down/poor as a snake” 9 point (broken brow on the right side) with an 18” inside spread
Thank you, Lord, thank you!!!
By the way, .243 just isn’t a big enough round

Yesterday in a group text, one of the guys told us Hollins WMA was starting a gun hunt today. I knew they were hunting this weekend, but it did surprise me that it was starting on Friday instead of Saturday (however, another local WMA has been doing Fri-Sun all season, so it didn't sound false). So I got everything ready to go, even set an alarm (it's about an hour drive from my house). Right at bedtime last night something told me to double check it though, and glad I did, doesn't start till tomorrow
That would've been real cute! LOL

Good deer!
This is one of the best days for hunting we’ve had all season. Basically in the 30’s all day is deadly if you can hang.
Too bad work gets in the way....

3 long beards in Selma so far.
Back in my ladder stand on a greenfield behind the house. Got pics of a stud in here Wednesday morning @ 6:30. Several scrapes around the field, maybe he'll come check them before dark.
