Whatcha toting to the stand?

Since I took the 10pt opening afternoon last year I will probably take the Ruger Hawkeye 25.06 again.

Most likely the wrist rocket, shooting 10MM heat treated ball bearings. Floods, tornados, fire and hurricances have really limited my options from what they used to be. I've still got the 700 Nitro Express but I normally save that for rut hunts, what with the ammo shortage and all.

Weatherby 7 mag with my new 30mm athlon ares btr. Pushing 160's pretty damn fast.. I'll switch out between that and a 25-06 on a savage action...

REM 700 ml since I’ll be on corps land. Don’t feel like climbing mountains in Bankhead since it will be warm and crappy winds. But come Monday I’ll probably carry the rem 700 264 or the kimber 7mm-08

All these guns and no pics...

Since my daughter stole my favorite rifle, I’ll be taking Old Faithful: 1978 Weatherby Vanguard DLX in .270WbyMag. Something about a 130gr TSX @ 3500fps. Blued steel and sex appeal. She got some new glass this week and is itching to draw blood.

Winchester 1300 12 gauge or the benelli m2 I go back and forth on those two. Keep the rem 700 30-06 handy if I need longer shots.

20 year old Remington 700 Mountain Rifle (Wood) chambered in 30.06. Bought it new when I was in my early 20's and it's the last deer rifle I have purchased. Remington used to make some good firearms.

This will be my 2nd year of hunting with my bare hands. It’s a challenge but a well placed Judy chop is magical.
