Spartan cell cameras - 08/09/20 05:50 PM
Just purchased 5 of the spartan cell cameras. How do you guys have your battery/ solar panel rigged up? I understand they operate with regular AA batteries also but seeing as to how I’m purchasing these to keep less pressure on the deer walking into the areas checking cameras every week or two. Also purchased a few boss buck feeders 350# gravity feeders, how did your deer react to them?

I've got the HME flat battery solar panel combos on my spypoints. They will work with your Spartans as well.

Mine run off 12v feeder batteries. Most of mine are in shady spots.

https://www.herd360.com/products/spartan-battery-box-solar-and-bracket-kit-6v This is what we use on our GoCams. I’ve got setups in the woods and on field edges, so far they’ve kept a full charge all summer.

I have 4 350 # BB gravity feeders and have had no problem with racked bucks coming to them. I've been using them at least 5 years maybe longer. I feed 20% protein pellets and it last about 2 weeks during hot weather. In the fall i switch to corn and it last 10 to 14 days.

Do the Spartans help you with that too?
