Cross the creek at 8:00. All in a line.. not one buck in the bunch.steadu
Walking.. think the rut may be over..scrapes have not been touched in

Big deer down there.. my son got selected the last 2 years.. missed out this year we see deer every year we have been down..

Sitting in the shooting house where my son connected on Sunday. Wondering why I’m here but have already had two eight points ease through in this mess. Rain was too loud to stop the biggest of the two. I guess I’ll keep sitting and listening to the rain a while. Good luck to y’all out here in it.

Been sitting in house in rain on planted pipeline, shot a hog with my B78 , but Barney only brought one cartridge, had to go fetch some more ammo

That hurt I just ranged it 170yrd...shoulve been drt.. at least his racked was jacked up on one side or I wouldn't be sleeping tonight

I guess working on the fuel pump and being covered in gas is a good thing.

Didn't think I'd see anything.
Parked upwind. And walked downwind to get to stand. Deer crossed my track in road and I had gas on my boots.

Back in the ole wood box. Got my new to me rifle with me, weatherby vanguard 257wbymag with a zeiss hd5 3x15x50 on it. Curious how much better im going to be able to see at 5:40 with this scope.

He never checked up on the road where I walked.

Very cautious in field though.
Left and skirted woods, and reentered field. He's still feeding in field now.

Jb20 is this (Altoona) area? I have seen very little signs of any chasing this season in Etowah.

Yes actually this was in Blount county but right on the etowah Blount line..i know of 3 good deer taken this week here plus the one I missed...i talk to about 5 people every other day and these 3 were killed by them
