Went to bed with a 10% chance of rain this morning. Parked at the gate and it started raining.
Luckily I keep full rain gear in the truck.

Set up on public in a spot I have been trying to snag all weekend. My last hunt of the year. Rain is an expected surprise.

In position. Last day of my season and we have a wedding this afternoon. Going for broke this am.

Back in a tripod watching a long narrow rd in some 7 year old pines. Killed a 7pt here a couple days ago and had a nice 8pt on camera that only has 3 feet. Left rear foot is missing from about 4 inches below the torso gland. He’s gonna be easy to recognize.

Suns just about over the pine tops now.

Already had a button head and a big nanny that was on high alert come through. Someone a couple farms over sounds like they are target shooting.

Shot at a nice buck chasing a doe. Could be my new personal best (current best is a 6pt). He didn’t drop so I’m giving it 30 til I look for the start of the blood trail

I'm up. 8 point just came by. Smaller buck and does. 7 gobblers.

Hunting Demopolis wma this morning. Seen 8 does already. Heard 2 pretty loud convincing grunts out in the clear cut in front of me but can’t pick out the deer in this brush

In a pine looking over a big clear cut been sprinkling some no deer yet

Had a buck pushing does right before day break couldn’t tell how big was still too dark. But nothing since then.

Slept in but getting ready now a friend has seen 4 bucks n 3 does already which is rare...i think they may be chasing now

Doe and 2 lil ones came busting out the bottom.nothing behind them though.

Usually don't set up on food plots in the morning but rut is coming on and this field was full of does when I left it last night. Seen 7 so far with one nice 6 point. If this spot keeps up I might go for the trifecta and come back here this evening also.

Went down and looked for blood. Couldn’t find a single drop.

Was about to head back to the stand and when I looked down the thicket and saw it laying about 100yds in.
Turned out to be a 6pt but I’m more than thrilled. I’ve had the worst luck trying to get a halfway decent buck the past few years.

Climbed in the stand at 10 with my son. We haven’t been seeing much action early and late so decided we would try it mid day. Buddy saw 2 - 8 pts. chasing a doe about 200 yards from our set up about 9:30. Hopefully she’ll drag them by us.

Let one holy place to go to another. After church hunt. Let's get it on!!

Set up on a greenfield with select pines around. I have bow and gun with me.

Been in the shooting house at daylight every day this week, been getting up and going before work. Slept in today. Two shooters in my food plot this morning. Mature deer. One at 7:02, one at 7:30. One ive never saw before, one I have a few pictures of that I designated a shooter. Whats the chances?

Last sit on my buddies club in Chilton co this evening sitting on a food plot next to some 10 yo pines and fresh clear cut on the other
Set on a clearcut this morning and nobody saw a deer

Sitting in a lock on looking down off the edge of the mountain here behind the house at the top of a big hollar and a deep nasty wash. There is an old logging road that comes around from a clear cut to my east right at the top of that wash and then along right under me. Hope to catch one cruising this evening.

Sitting in a stand of thinned long leafs between a pine thicket and hardwood bottom.

In a swamp I found a bunch of sign in today..jumped buck walking in

Just had a doe run being pursued by what I assume was a buck just caught a glimpse in thick nasty stuff

Sitting by a nice warm fire fixing to smoke a few half chickens. Y’all knock em down

I came out here just to get out of the house, slept in late this morning and have felt like crap most of the day. Our deer population here is low so it gets boring and frustrating not seeing anything but I've got 2 good 8s on camera. Maybe one of them will come through looking for some love this evening, I've got a 165gr Federal Fusion looking for love too.

Heard 2 shots ring off about 10 minutes ago. It was my dad. It’s his first buck. Thinks it’s a small 6 point

Ended up seeing doe and a little one, and got the longest bj I've ever gotten in the woods. I guess she must have seen me move as she was way below me looking up the mtn. There was no wind so I don't think she woulda smelled me, I'm gonna move that stand so I ain't skylined near as much.

Your scent will go down that mtn in the evening, wind or no wind. Thermals

Saw a doe and 2 lil ones this morning. Walking out I jumped one of the biggest deer I’ve seen on our place in a while.

Ended up being a good 8 point! Not bad for his first buck and 4th deer ever
