I reckon im the only idiot out here. In a shooting house over a heater which is running out of gas. I have saw 6does so far but I dont know how long ill make it without this heater. Was planning on sitting here till 8:00 then going to work, might not happen

I’m in a ground blind watching the back of a lane. I SHOULD have brought the little propane heater. I’m doing good but toes are just a tad chilly. It’s just an hour hunt before work. You can tell cold is affecting deer. They’ve cleaned up 50 lbs in a day.

In house on planted pipeline, let a nice 9pt walk 3 times yesterday afternoon, tending doe, big deer, very little brows. Saw a good one a mile away with spotter where I am sitting now

In my double ladder over lookin a greenfield on a swamp edge. Had snow flurries a bit ago. Young 6 pnt came gruntin in to 10 yrds. 3 different does on the move and 1 good buck stayed just in the swamp edge. I believe we gettin close. Good show so far

I'm in a shooting house on a power line, no heater. Toasty toes in the muck woody max and hot hands in the gloves. All is well. Dressed warm. I've seen 2 bucks trailing does. 1 too small, 1 too far. Been a good bit of activity, guiet since 7:45. Hope the wind stays like this, it wont

Good luck to you all - planned to hunt today and tomorrow but after hunting hard with my son since Friday with no success and little to no buck sightings, i decided to give it a day off and work today. Will reevaluate for tomorrow later in the day.

Ok so I get the DA award for the day. Got up around 7 had some coffee with the wife and headed on into work at 8. I walked in and spoke to all the techs as I’m going back to my office. All the sudden their heads pop up over the counter like meerkats and in unison they ask “What are you doing here? You don’t have any patients!” Holy crap!! I got my days off mixed up!! I thought I was off next Monday and Tuesday!! Turns out it was yesterday and today!!

So anyway, wife and I met at Chappys for breakfast and I texted my son seeing if he wanted to go back to Coosa today and he said “heck yeah!” I checked the camera cards and there are 2 deer up here that have me excited. One of them was in the plot at 2am Monday morning that my son hunted yesterday. He decided he wanted to hunt there again! 😂

I’m back on the same plot I was yesterday. Busted 4 does off plot at 1pm trying to sneak in. One saw me and I got busted. It’s early tho so I’m hopeful.

Been here since 0630 in a climber in Perry county. I didn't want to take my hands out of my gloves this a.m. so no morning Aldeer check-in.

Didn't hunt today but went to check cameras at lunchtime and saw a ton of does and a a good 120 inch class 8pt that crossed the road in front of me at 1 o'clock onto our place and stopped just inside the thicker stuff and was tempting me. He was looking for his doe and never knew I was around or didn't care.

I won't be in the stand until this afternoon's hunt, but between what I've seen on cameras, what I've seen sitting here at the camp working on my computer and what I've seen when I went to go run some errands - they are moving pretty good throughout the day right now.

I am at work but my coverts are telling me that the chasing has started a little earlier than normal in Mobile at my club.

Sitting in my Sportsman’s Condo. Cold day. They’re definitely moving. They were moving last night and I missed a good 8 I’ve never seen on camera.. Hoping to redeem myself today after making sure rifle was still on. rifle was Dead on. Miss was my fault.

Back on the ole wood box, sure feels better in here than it does out there. Got me a fresh bottle of gas, im in for the duration. Wind has eased up a bit, its cold and sunny, im expecting to see some deer before dark. Nothing but about 1000 doves so far.

I saw 7 today. All does. Son saw 6 including a decent 6pt he passed on. We saw prob 20 on the side of road on way home. I’m not sure rut is fully on in my area of Coosa. We’ve seen 25 deer between us over last 2 days and only 1 buck.

Around Rockford the rut normally starts around Christmas and ends around the 15 you are late more than likely.

I hunted a place just north of Rockford across hatchet creek for 5-6 years and the January 15-25th was when I always saw the most chasing, lady passed away this summer and we lost hunting rights. That was by far the best property I’ve ever deer hunted
