Portland Landing here we come, as luck would have it, last year friend got drawn for bow and took me in Nov. This year I got drawn and now taking him....and yep we got same area as last year!

What’s the chances for that? Hell, I can’t get drawed out for any of them!!

Well update to the hunt, 10 Portland hunters shot 21, I think, deer over the hunt. We got 5, some decent bucks taken, best was about a 130in 10pt. Some much bigger were seen from what I heard. We saw 14 bucks total, just no shooters. Great time was had by all. Will be applying again next year, and from what I have heard the area may be expanding as well adding over 1000ac or more for next year.

Man we must have seen or met you...I was the kid with the beard that killed the big 7 Thursday afternoon at cedar...my buddy and I were at the Portland skinning she’s every evening...I had another nice mature 8 that I had to pass Friday due to the one buck rule but we didn’t see much due to our unit 10 wasn’t the best...buddy only saw a button head the entire weekend while I saw a few other small bucks...just blessed to have been able to shoot that buck with my buddy sittin on the ground beside me
