I was just wondering who else is using something new this season for hunting. With all the ads we see on TV who ventured out to try something different and what is it. I purchased the Evercalm and Extinguisher Game Call. I spent $50 for the new stuff total.

Hunting a new place entirely with completely different terrain. Nothing but dang pine trees in Autauga county it seems. Shorter ranges. Carrying nothing with more than 2.5X on the low end optics wise. Setup a little Model Seven in 223 as a doe buster with a Leupold 2-7 on it.

Well i did finally wear the Danner Pronghorns i purchased almost 3 years ago today lol. Just hard for me to get used to a lace up for hunting, because I'm always around clay, river swamp, or prairie mud so rubber boots are hard to beat, and they clean up oh sooooo much easier

I bought a new pair of socks.

They are nice and warm.

Saddle, platform, lone wolf top for climbing, boots, wooltimate outer layers, a camcorder to film some of my hunts and a partridge in a pear tree.

The saddle is awesome. I didn't think when I first got it, that itd be comfortable enough to sit all day in. The more you hang from it, the more I like it. I can get in any tree when using my sticks. I just got the lone wolf top because down here during rifle season it ain't to hard to find a climb able tree. My old clothes had ripped up and were about 8 years old. The final straw was when my zipper broke while I was in missouri and it was around 0 degrees. I like to froze to death.

Obviously I should be using a spotlight. Lol because I couldn't kill one with a sack of poison corn rite now

I’m OCD about organizing my stuff so I paid $199 for an Alps Contender X backpack. Keeps my stuff like I like it

Alps makes fantastic gear. I have their frame pack and the pursuit backpack.

A lot of the land up here is hardwood ridges with lots of smaller trees, so climbing doesn’t help vantage. My buddy and I both got a stump this year and have been using them every hunt. It’s lightweight and I can rig it to my backpack so I don’t even know it’s there. I can slip in and set up quietly. My my buddy has killed 4 off of it so far this year. If I want to get up and move, it takes seconds to pack it up.

Well thanks for spending my money, never heard of the Summit Stump and I've used others in the past and haven't found one I loved yet. Academy has the Stump for $39.99 with cheap shipping.

I bought some heavy duty tent stakes for all of my ground blinds. I did this because of some twenty plus mile an hour winds we had down here mid January had me hunting a ground blind that got blown some one hundred yards away on the best morning during the rut to hunt. Good thing I’m a early to the stand hunter.

Academy cancelled my order. Oh well. I'll keep using my hammock seat.

I have a new Vortex BDC scope for long range shooting in Missouri. I bought a parka, and bibs from Midway, with the Permaloft insulation. I hunted in them this morning at 28 degrees, and they are awesome. I never got cold. They are on sale right now, if you can find your size. They also ship quick. It is the Midway Brand, Elk Fork bibs and parka, almost half off.

A new seat cushion that sure helps a lot on those all day long sits.

My seasons over but, I used new broadheads to kill my bull and I buy a dozem areas every year. On a good note, I didn't spend money on the Kuiu sale lol

New crossbow! Between watching too many youtube hunting videos and interweb testimonials, I'm liable to be saying "tree saddle" when someone posts this same question a yr from now.
