Heard this deer rubbing trees in the pines. I was sitting in a ladder stand watching the road and a small clearcut to my right. He walked out and I put the crosshairs on him, click! Bullet didn't fire. He and I had a stare down I bolted another shell and the 7mag blew thru his shoulder. DRT. Destroyed the opposite shoulder. I wanted one more deer for the freezer and he complied.

I had the same thing happen to me with a blr once. Hornady sst ammo too .

Oh that's just great I bought 2 boxes of American whitetail 3 days ago. That's a pretty 4 PT though.

Pretty sure it was only an issue with the early runs when they first came out. You can Google it and it was a fairly widespread issue. I use them on my 30-30 with success, but they are of the newer run.
