Super blood moon weekend

....falling during the peak rut. Can this even be considered fair chase??? How lucky are we.

no one can hunt for entire week during the "BLOOD MOON", un-fair !!!!!

We expect to kill some giants this weekend. This is absolutely the best timing we have ever had with blood moon, red moon and the rut. I'm pinching myself!

What time of day would you moon hunters say would be the best if a fellow was wanting to go on monday, according to blood moon lore? Supposed to be the coldest day weve had so far this winter.

The moon timing is great however the weather conditions are going to be horrible. It’s calling for thunder storms all day Saturday then Sunday 20 mph winds. That’s horrible.

Gotcha. I’ve encountered this problem before. You need to dig a hole in the ground and make a under ground bunker. I killed a good one two year ago like this. Was the only way I could get close. Hope this helps and good luck to you!

My original question was really if it was “fair chase”. We generally open up our sanctuary one day a year, usually during a rut event. I think we are leaning towards shutting it down this weekend and just hunting perimeters. Too many opportunities with bucks on the move for our less seasoned hunters to get busted

Checked with the president. He said no pictures or any other forms of renderings allowed on any social media, period. We can describe bucks in writing only. He feels it would only attract poachers and other unwanted attention and whatnot. About to finish packing and head to the club. I don’t have hardly any cell reshepsun downnthere but will let you know how many giants we arrow during the blood moon rut hunts

Blood moon, wasn't all it was built up to be.... we saw some young'uns wondering around, but BIG boys was nowhere to be found. Last weekend was a lot better, killed 2 studs, and 2 were missed. Hopefully,next couple of weeks will be better.

I reckon it was good to me. I missed a giant Saturday morning and killed a good one Sunday afternoon then killed a good one Monday morning

Was an awful weekend at our 4000 acre lease. Wind was dead wrong for a lot of our kill sets. In the kill sets that we deemed appropriate for the wind, we saw a few nice deer, but we couldn't buy a deer in range of our bows. Had Ghilly suits and everything. very disappointing blood moon hunt weekend. Anybody kill any 150's?
