Somebody has been parked on the northbound side of 65 hunting that every morning this week. I come through southbound about 6:45 every morning. I sure am jealous when I see his truck out there.

Hadn’t made it 75 yards from the truck and had three does step out into an old 3/4 acre garden. She stayed there looking at me long enough to let me talk myself into shooting her. Now I am on down the side of the mountain hoping to catch a buck cruising.

BIL shot a good heavy 8 about 915 this morning. Bucked ran a piece and laid down. A while later, got up and moved off. He found good blood but backed out. Gave it 3 hours and went back in. I went in on blood trail and he looped around to where he was heading. I trailed it for a couple hundred yards down the mtn, when i heard/saw it. It wasnt moving good and stopped for a second and gave me a shot. His shot was on the shoulder, but i wonder if the angle + bone deflected it some? Lotta exterior damage, but no vitals. Glad we got him and dont wanna have to do another one of those drags again for a while!![Linked Image]
