I’m in some thick, nasty hardwoods where I killed a good one last year. I’m hoping a buck will come work this scrape since the rain has finally moved out

I’m in some thick hardwoods uphill of a little grown up thicket. Have pictures of multiple bucks in here recently. Good luck everyone!

In a house overlooking a pasture to my left and pine thicket in front. Fogs starting to roll in.

I'm halfway up a hillside in a turkey chair hoping to add some meat to the freezer. The wind is just right in my favor. Just started sprinkling as I'm typing so I may be moving to a ground blind up the hill a little more.

Hunting in some tight quarters. Small white oak flat surrounded by cutover and thick creek bottom. Just hoping to see a deer. Usually my bow season spot. Been slow at our place in Clarke County

Sitting on a long planted road bed in Lamar county. Nothing yet

Sitting in shooting house watching it rain. I am sick if the rain. Hope one comes slipping by.

Watching a couple of hardwood draws, wish I had my 22 instead of this deer rifle lol - I'd do a lot better at the moment

Overlooking a one year old clear-cut from tripod. Have heard five different shots. Nothing here yet.

3 fawns just walked underneath me...the sun is beginning to peek through the clouds a little bit here

Sitting on the ground, up a draw. Been too quiet. I'm soaked. It's a great day.

other than the buck i killed two weeks ago i havent seen a racked buck all season. im about to the point that im going to have to find me a colored gal to hook up with so i can change my luck

Out hunting/scouting on public in S.C. jumped a buck and doe a few minutes ago with no shot. After they cleared out I looked at the spot they were bedded in and it’s got a ton of sign. Also found a decent shed antler. Not sure if I’ll get another chance to hunt this spot this year but it’s a solid start for next season.

Saw a 4 point bird dogging.

That's a pretty spot to have so close to you. Nothing yet here but a red fox that trotted through 20 minutes ago.

Seen 1 doe and a young 9 point so far.

Thanks I just don't get bucks around here usually till Christmas Week, and I mainly just hunt Sunday afternoons and when I'm on call

Sitting here in the living room at the house. I've had 7 bucks chasing each other around in the back yard for nearly an hour now. Getting ready to start busting up the bachelor groups, I guess.

Nothing worth shooting, though...other than maybe a monster cowhorn with probably a 15-16" inside spread.

Shot a 3 year old 9 point. Rut is coming in good here and he came trotting by. Thought he was a little better but he'll do. Pics to follow when I get done dragging him.

Rain/fog just rolled in. I’m fine with the rain, but can’t see crap in this fog. Maybe one will walk under my tree soon so I can load it up and head out.

Have my son with me on his first hunt of the year and we haven’t seen anything. Sun started busting out and I thought this is going to be a good morning. Then poof just like that it’s gone again and the wind has really picked up. Would love to get him a shot at his first buck and would be happy to get a doe as well.

No more deer for me...I’m heading to help one of my buddies from work. He killed his first buck, a nice 10 point, this morning at his club (a couple of miles from our land).

Looking over hardwood bottom this pm. Only heard 2 shots at daylight in this part of Clarke Co. maybe they will move this pm.

Me and 9 year old watching Greenfield. Had to go change after basketball games this morning and saw a doe around 1200 on the road. Hopefully they'll be moving this evening and my boy can kill his first deer. Good luck to everyone

We are on a food plot with 4-5 year old clear cut surrounding us except the east side is thinned pines and there’s a creek to our south and north. Saw several in here during bow season and have pics/video of a pretty good 8 in here. Hope he gets a shot!!

Nah cause then I'd have to drive home. Think I'll stick around the house get a fire going. It'll pay off later tonight

1st sit of the year for me

Me and the wife drove down to the Russell County lease for an afternoon sit. Turned in the gate and there's 5 doziers and a van load of guys planting the clear cuts. I have yet to get any notice when they do anything on this place. Screw them, went to a shooting house on the back side of the property. At least when they get this done I won't have to see them for a few years.

Sitting on a field that hasn’t been hunted this year. Had to run 3 flying squirrels out of the box. That’s the 2nd time this year this has happened. Last time the little feller wouldn’t leave. Sat beside me all evening next to the door.

Sitting in a blind with my 10 year old trying not to fall asleep. Trying to get him his first buck. He said who ever sees it first gets to shoot. So he's like a hawk right now. Good luck guys. Congrats on the kills.

One small buck for me. Very, very poor deer movement here today!!

Ive had pictures of a dozen different bucks all hours of the night this week. Theyre gona mess aroung and eat all the corn I planted before the rut gets here. Absolutely decimating my foodplots, but every bit of it is at night. Itll get better in a couple of weeks, but this first half of the season has been depressing.

I worked the check in station today hopefully I’ll make it out tomorrow or Monday

Ended up seeing 3 doe and a half rack 2 year old buck. I will try again tomorrow before church.

It seems like every year we go thru a pre Christmas shut down and the deer just don't move as much in the daylight. I sat in a 40 acre corn field Wednesday afternoon that literally had thousands of tracks in it, yet I did not see a deer.

It's warm and humid and low pressure.

Saw a rabbit and at least 3 limits of doves trying to roost around me.

I hunted pretty much nonstop since Thursday. By today I had no clue where to set up. Jumped a couple does, but saw nothing, nothing on camera.

Hunted hard this week and the sightings have gone way down. Seemed to be moving late evening and after dark here.

The 3 does I saw came in the field at 335 and didnt leave until 510. I dont think they would have left but a deer blew upwind of me a good ways off and they eased on out.
