Heading to Union Springs shortly. Going in around 8AM to a North South Canyon at headwaters of a spring fed creek. Deer will be bedded on the east slope side in the sun and staging. Just depends on if I bump them on the way in. Buddies to the left and right incase the buck slips out and to drag me and deer back up hill... Good luck everyone.

Gotta sit this AM out, I missed a huge boar at 250 yds yesterday evening so I'm gonna do a sight in to make sure

I'm hunting in NE Alabama today, in my favorite shooting house. Just noisy birds and squirrels so far

Sitting on a big clear cut at the Majestic Outdoors Men’s Retreat

Sitting on small greenfield in Clayton AL. Doe came out at 6:15 followed by a 3 X 0 buck with his right beam snapped off

They moving this morning. Have seen an 8 pt, 2 spikes, and 3 does since daylight from living room window while getting ready for work.

I'm in my climber watching the edge of a big thicket and a about 5 or 6 y/o pine plantation. Good luck fellows

Well, zilch for me. I did hear a buck chase a doe off and on for nearly 30 minutes starting at 0715. Back at home now. Will go again tomorrow at lunch.

Just got checked by the SECOND different Game Warden today on our private property lease. First one was 9:15 AM , second one 3:15. Asked if I had corn out and I told him our club obeys the law.

How would a fella go about getting some of those bullets?

They're made by Barnes. They load them in their own cartridges, or you can buy the bullets for handloading.

I thought you must load your own. I looked it up and that bullet flies 3060 fps according to what i was reading. There is a 110gr that flies 3400 fps. I thought you were loading them and had got it to 3600fps. I would like to have some that would do that.

It's not a 270 Win it's a 270STW a 8mm rem mag or 7mm STW necked down to 277 Cal. It's a custom Cal I load my own bullets
