Just depends on the club and the neighbors. It is pretty good in some areas.

I agree with Turkey_neck, it depends on the club and just as important, the neighbors........oh and if they have a hog problem! Our club there has been seeing a big increase in the hog population. Where is the club in Sprott?
No matter the hunting, the benefit is that you can drive to Marion and eat a bacon cheeseburger at Whillard's.

I ate there Saturday for breakfast and that was about the worst breakfast in the nastiest place I have eaten. The old kalico kitchen was better. I won't be back at willards, but hear good things about a place called the shack.

I haven't tried it, but the local talk is a Shack Burger is top of the line.

Hot wings at the shack are good also
The Shack is all around good food and cold beer. We have a few hundred acres not far from the old post office/ store we see decent deer usually one or two wall hangers on camera a year, but like they said it depends a lot on your neighbors one side of the property the neighbors are on the same management standards as us. We see deer regularly there. The other side shoots multiple times a weekend and hunts during the week and I have seen them shoot multiple 2.5 year old bucks.
The folks that ran and managed Whillard's, back when they had good food, have their own place now. It's called Mr. B's and is about a mile south of Whillard's next to Napa.

I don't know, but the bacon cheeseburger is the same as when it was J & R's. I haven't tried anything else there.

The shack was voted in AL.com as the best place to eat in Perry county. Scary! Lmao
Ill never eat at The Shack again. We ate there last year about this time. We ate and as I was up front paying, you can kind of look back into the kitchen area, and there was a cooked hunk of meat laying on the counter, with flies all over it and swarming around it, then to top that off, one of the cooks went over and bare handed it and threw it in a pot and looked like he was prepping it to serve.
Turned my guts inside out.
[quote=fishingbucks]The original people who had J & Rs or Whillard’s? What
The people that own Whillard's didn't manage it, or have anything to do with it, they had another couple that managed it and did the cooking. The owners and the other couple had a falling out, so the other couple quit and opened their own place.
