Me and timber2 will be getting ours kicked off Saturday a.m. at 12:01. JK.
I guess I'll either be hunting a property about 3/4 of a mile from Troy University or my place in hurtsboro that morning.

Don't know really. Might look out over the swamp bottom and the beaver pond. Isn't a front coming through Saturday? Seems cooler this year, to me. I don't do the morning much anymore and it takes a few days to really get in gear for actual hunting. Whole lot to do from now until after Christmas. I do love it though. Be a bad day when I wont be able to go.

Either in a blind watching a corner of a peanut field that gets a lot of traffic or a bottle neck in a big corn field that's a popular crossing. Haven't decided yet.

Depends on what the wind is doing that day. I have a couple options.

Headed to Tennessee Friday after work. If we get in at a decent time probably sitting on a plot Saturday morning and scouting mid day for the rest of the trip.

Finger of pines in a pasture with a ditch bottom/tree line in front of me/oak ridge behind me.
I’m concerned about weather. Long range forecast showing rain here and that could change my plans.
Also got to address the question “Will I shoot a doe if I see one?”
Game day decision on that.

Will be set up on a 3 year old clear cut. Green field behind me about 150 yards and hardwood bottom to my right that's pretty open for a good shot.

wind is supposed to be from the southwest so, in a ladder stand, watching about 100 yards of a trail between the thicket and a small pine planting, OR on a little ridge in a lock-on, about 50 yards off a powerline right-of-way.
things could change, though. i've got four days to mull it over.
northwest wind on sunday, so ...

I found a spot and hung a lock-on Saturday. I’m on a small creek bottom where 4 ridges merge together. Fresh clear cut on top of 3 of the ridges with fingers of hardwoods running the bottoms & a THICK bedding area behind me. Hope to catch him heading to bed. I’ll have to get there well before daylight since my approach will be exposed, but it should be worth it.
