Finally

It’s been one hell of a week at work plus some other issues that has had me pretty much stressed out beyond belief. Funny how a little walk with my son makes things better. We are up a tree for the first hunt of the year. I’m pretty hardcore this time of year but has the kids get older that has abated some.

This picture I took a few minutes ago made me feel at peace. Wouldn’t want to be anywhere else with anybody else at this point in time. The good lord provides what we need but sometimes we overlook it. Y’all have a great weekend

Thanks guys. From the time he was born till he was 6 I averaged being gone 200+ days per year. I made great money but missed some of the more important things in life. I now feel like I have a second chance and I can guarantee I won’t screw this one up.

Same goes for the time lost with my daughter and wife. Luckily I married a great woman who understood the sacrifices and still stands beside me and supports me today. I’m a rich man fellas and I’m not talking monetarily

I understand completely. Bow season used to be my time to hunt. I was as serious about it as anything I did. I had the chance to go this morning before work for the first time this season without the kiddos and couldn't even make myself get out of bed. If I'm not taking them, I hardly have the desire any longer.

My son is 6 weeks old. That picture gets me excited thinking about him coming hunting with me one day. Don’t want him to grow up too fast though haha. Good stuff.

Thats an awesome pic and it shows what this sport is really about. Passing on a tradition. I got to take my oldest son on his first hunt last year and now he talks about it all the time. "Daddy i want to go hunting".

Great post, and congratulations! I had 2 daughters, and only one had any interest in hunting and she lost it when she became a teenager. So I missed out on the blessing you have.

I do frequently say that I'm gonna outlive my wife and have a son with my 2nd wife. First wife doesn't seem to like that for some reason.
