I can help you. I lived there for the past seven years. Your going to miss the serious chase phase of the rut if you go that late. . Might catch a little late rutting action. They really run about the second week of Nov. but that would be bow or crossbow. Most public land up there has only a 9 day gun season and it is usually packed out. After my first season I didnt gun hunt public anymore just for that reason. Safety can be a issue. Public land up there is WAY better than public here especially during bow season. Very little pressure during bow season on public. If your interested shoot me a PM and I can give you some good public area locations.

Bulls eye, I really appreciate the info and was worried about the Orange army. I'm hoping being my hunt days are Tuesday-Saturday I'll miss a lot of the crowd middle of week. And yea I know I'm gonna miss prime time but, With work and time off that's the best I can do in hopes of catching a few stragglers not bred or the bucks on their feet seeking nutrition after rut and traveling back to their home areas. I'm leaning toward Wister wma and have contacted game and fish about gun days and they are open for rifle those days. Spoke with the biologist over it and he said it does get a few hunters but there is plenty of room to get away on 35,000+ acres.
