Scope Repair

Scope Repair - 09/21/17 11:23 AM

I have an old Redfield TK LEE dot scope that came off one of my father's old remington pumps rifles. It is still very clear, but the dot reticle is now non-existent. I contacted Redfield and they rerouted me to a third party, Ironsites. Ironsites said it will be a 12-14 month turnaround on getting the scope back if I send it to them.

Anyone know of any other options for scope repair?

Redfield has been sold and bought a couple times. I think you are doing very well just to get it fixed.

I would send it in,buy a better scope and not worry too much about it. Those Bushnell Elite 3200 and 4200 scopes offered are great scopes. Do not confuse them with Bushnell's current 3500 which is a POS.

I've got plenty of optics, I want it fixed for sentiment much more than need. I think the Bausch & Lomb incarnations of the 3200 elite were some of the best "scope for the money" optics ever made!

Lee dot was invented right here in Alabama. I dont know if they are still in business but you might try a search.

I guess part of what I said didn't make much sense. I mistook you for the fellow that was looking for a cheap scope and was offered those 3200 and 4200 Bushnells.

I just saw that you offered a scope to that guy, but you were not the guy looking for a scope. That's the reason I mentioned the Bushnell scopes.I do agree that they were some of the best for the money and still best for the money available.

One of the reasons I've bought Leupolds most of my life- unlimited lifetime warranty. The two times I had problems, no charge, no questions asked

Lots of unlimited lifetime warranties in lots of brands.

This might be worth sifting through. I've about lost confidence in Leupold lately.
