Big buck encounter

Maybe this is routine for some of you veteran guys, but saw the biggest buck I've personally laid my eyes on yesterday evening at the family farm. Had planned on climbing up in the stand with my camcorder to see if I could get anything on video, but was running late and had 3 bucks in the field waiting for me. Video isn't great with me huffing and puffing and dealing with bugs, but it certainly got my heart racing. The last video is the 3rd buck, which I didn't realize was there.

As long as they don't go to the neighboring county, I'm good. At least that's what I keep telling myself. I don't plan to venture onto that part of the property again until opening day!

They weren't that spooked. Just knew something wasn't right. I'd venture to say they're probably on their way back to that bean field right now, and likely were in there last night.

Nothing wrong with that. I enjoy the prep and summer plots as much as the hunting. To each their own.
