I wonder how it'll hold up in the weather? I wouldnt mind having enough to go around my shop interior walls about to clean things up in there.

it holds up great in the elements. Will never rot, and when properly fastened, it will never bow or warp.

We need an Aldeer express hauling on some of that stuff. If he could get 100 or so sheets of it down to Troy I would bet it would sell quickly.

I went and picked up 30 sheets. He has a lot of colors in 1/8 and 1/4 thickness. He also has a few colors in 1 inch thickness check for $15. I got some of it for the floors. He said he will have 1/2 inch back in stock soon. I may check it out to replace the marine plywood in my John boat.

I would imagine being inside a PVC house would be hot as hell. I've been in one of those plastic Scentite blinds and it was murder.... That plastic just absorbs the heat. Guess it would be good on a very cold day which we don't get to many of here in the South.

Use white sheets and heat won't be an issue. The deer don't care what color it is.

They are a little on the flimsy side, about like paneling used on walls, but I figure once I cut them to size and attach them with some wood screws and washers it should be good to go. I am also planning on painting the outside a light green and grey color.

For those that have bought some, is this straight PVC (heavy for size and sort of brittle) or is it one of the air infused PVC sheet products? Light for size and somewhat flexible. There is a PVC product used in sign making called Sintra. I am wondering if this is a type of product like that.

There's a guy here in Anniston that sells 4x8 sheets of the stuff signs are made of, green in color. He said he has people buy them all the time to put on shooting houses. Can't remember how much, but it was cheap.

I went by this place this morning. They are indeed giving these pvc sheets away for free. All colors except black and white. You will need a trailer though - they will load bundled pallets into trailer for you with a forklift but can't load into truck beds. They will not let you break open a bundle and load by hand.

Re: For those that want to build shooting houses - 09/15/17 08:57 AM

We have built 6 shooting houses out of this stuff. So far it has been ok. Extreme sun an heat will warp the stuff pretty bad but have not really seen where it would cause many problems with a shooting house. We used the 1/4" on the walls and 1/2" on the roofs.
