I would like to say I made that good of a lung shot but it was actually the finishing off shot. He walked out at about 250 yards and fed out into the corn field with some does. When I ranged him again he was at 280 yards so I aimed a little to high and clipped him. Funny thing was he didn't really pay much attention to the does. He just stayed eating corn.

Congrats on a good deer and making a long shot. When you say you clipped him high, did he not fall down? Must have only gotten hair?

I spine shot him with first and he dropped but tried to get out of the field. Aimed a little to high.
