Covington county Rut Report update

Was wondering what the rut is looking like in Covington county? Is anyone seeing any chasing or starting to kill any?thanks

Have saw pics of several nice deer killed here in lower Covington county the last week. These deer were 4 year olds or older. Weren't actually dogging or chasing does, but we're on their feet looking, although one guy said his was with a doe

Ain't seen jack for rutting activity in west Covington/east Conecuh. Bucks were up rambling a lot in coffee 2 weekends ago

Tons of scrapes. No chasing yet. A few does may have trickled in, but were still a couple of days away I believe.

Bet Monday-Tuesday with the cold will be good days to hunt in our area.

My brother killed a decent buck chasing two days ago in northern covington county near Dozier.

Buddy killed a very mature 8 this morning chasing. If you can be in the woods its definitely time. I sadly cannot until the weekend.
