Big Bankhead buck

Did anyone see a pic of the big buck killed in the gun hunt? Someone just texted me a pic. Looks like a bruiser.

Which one? There have been several. Which gun hunt? I was told there were 11 permits given out Friday and 4 deer killed. I am really surprised we haven't seen pics or heard any more about the biggest one that was checked Friday.

It was the one this past weekend.

Just seen it on facebook..he's big for sure.

Disclaimer: I did not kill this Deer nor do I know who did. The pictures were texted to me and supposedly it was killed on the last Bankhead gun hunt this past weekend.

Dudes so secretive he ain't go no license plate on that jeep and weird the suns out.

Oh and disclaimer I don't think the sun has shown in 3-4 days at Bankhead area. I may just be leery at this point with all the false stories flyin round here this season. But there is a 42 tag in the background at least. Hell of a deer no matter where.

Man, I need to find out what they're doing up there.

The sun shined all day Friday.

I counted 28 trucks parked in less than a 2 mile stretch of road yesterday. Unbelievable at the amount of people hitting the woods around there and that's not counting 3 or 4 side roads that I didn't go down.

I know if one killed near Bankhead that was a monster as well.

Great deer in that part of the state.

This deer was killed on the WMA on Friday on the B side. The sun was out all day Friday and that is the check in station in the background. It is legit and there was an 11pt and two 8pts killed Friday as well. As of lunch on Saturday there were two 9pts killed Saturday. There have been some good deer taken from the Bankhead and the WMA but don't think you're just going there and have your pick at which deer you want. It is very hard hunting with very steep terrain and a lot of walking. I've been hunting both for about ten years now and have just found some areas where I can consistently see deer. I wish anyone the best of luck if you do decide to go, just don't be too upset if you don't even see a deer. That being said, I will be there on the A side Thursday and Friday for the hunt.
