How in the world is one gonna accurately gonna judge something with so little information?

I think the excitement has done damaged your thoughts.

Congrats on the success though.

Awaiting pics.

You haven't been here long have you, LOL. This place will bite the hand that feeds them.

Congrats on a fine buck, but expect to be questioned, finger printed, some DNA samples will be needed from the buck, stomach contents from the buck, copy of your hunting license, proof of Alabama residence, a typed, double spaced letter from your pastor of your integrity, a lie detector test, and a detailed report of how the hunt was conducted, what equipment was used, what you ate before the hunt, and whether you peed from your stand, put it in a container, or just sat in misery and peed all over yourself after seeing the deer.

It's Aldeer, get used to it.

Re: Monster 14 point - 12/01/16 09:19 AM

That's exactly right!! I wasn't gonna put Their names out there but oh well!! Very fine place and Kent and Grant are 2 of the nicest people I've ever met! Grant even offered to let me use his bow bc we both have a bigger passion for archery then rifle !! The free range side is absolutely beautiful!! I was sitting on a mountain side towards the top part and you look down into the bottom. Got to the stand at 2:45. Seen a couple does and two more small bucks chasing. And I heard something about 3:15. It was him. 50 yards in front but to my right a little bit. He got behind some stuff so I didn't take the shot and he disappeared. 5 minutes later he somehow snuck within 20 yards straight below me. ( can't see bc the ladder is wrapped with a blind around it. ) he sees me and takes off into the bottom. He gone. I'm sick. Texting dad and telling him about I seen a monster. And blah blah blah. Sat the phone down just kept lookin along and at 3:39 I caught movement about 60 yards into the bottom and it was him trying his best to sneak through all wearily and sneaky. I yelled at him and his shoulder had limbs in front of it so I had to take the lethal neck shot!! He flipped backwards and was done for! I was using a Tikka 7mm08. Grant guess the deer will gross around 170. One of my buddy's pulled tape. Not accurate. But a good guess!! Thanks everyone

You can have it officially scored with Buckmasters and Alabama Whitetail Records now. Neither of them require a drying time. Look up Steve Lucas on Facebook he's the regional director for Buckmasters and he is an official scorer for both organizations. If you don't have Facebook but you are interested in having him score your deer, send me a message on here and I'll give you his number.

Lots of times the high Fence deer escape and become free range deer from my experience. Regardless awesome deer and great story. I have not seen any chasing at my house in pelham yet this year, it's usually around Christmas time. Congrats on a great trophy!

Well me and two of my buddy's just scored my buck with string and a tape measure... 164.5. I'm nowhere near an expert scorer on bucks but we took our time and didn't give him any extra. I was very strict with the tape measure. Thanks for all the positive compliments about my deer!! Good luck to everyone else this hunting season!!

1st i would like to say congrats on a great buck, But i was asked by the owners which are not ALDEER members to let everyone know that this deer was killed INSIDE the preserve! They do not want to mislead anyone. They offer great hunts inside and also on the free range. But on the free range you should expect to be hunting average alabama whitetail. They have had calls because of this post with people asking ab free range hunts & is this the quality of deer they offer. They would like for everyone to know the truth!

I just looked at the place on google maps, the only high fenced area I could make out was about 75-100 acres. You can clearly see small breeder buck pens inside of the so called BIG pen. This was a " shake the popcorn bag at him when they cut him loose from the tree" kind of hunt.

I don't care to ever hunt in a fence, but it's legal and I don't care if you do it, but when people say they killed a deer free range and then I find out it was a fenced deer it really changes things.

Of course I'm not talking about the one in this thread, because it was free range in the big fence. I'm talking about the guys that kill the not free range ones in the fence.

I wonder if he removed the ear tags or the free range buck broke them off with his two drop tines. No one ever did say how much it cost to hunt and kill a free range buck in that pen. They must have had that buck on one of those yard cables people use for dogs so they can run back and forth about 30 yards. That's the only way I can figure that 160 kept trying to sneaky sneak past that ladder stand.

1. He at least has the correct grammar to tell a hunting story.
2. I hate that some limbs forced him to take that lethal neck shot. That's gonna cost a few more dollars at the taxidermist.
3. Why yell at him when his shoulder is behind limbs?
4. Anyone else think he saw him 3 times because the "big pen" wouldn't let him get farther than 60 yards?
5. Wearily?

During my tenure at Academy, I attended a lot of hunts hosted by manufacturers like Strike King and Mossy Oak. The Mossy Oak boys do it right and still hunt the way I like to hunt. But I was totally turned off by a hunt hosted by StealthCam at the Nooner Ranch in Hondo, TX. Sammy Nooner is the first deer breeder to pay over $1Million for a breeder buck. I asked ahead of time and was told that portions of the ranch were free range and other portions high fenced. So I accepted. Turned out to be all high fence. Some "hunting" enclosures were as small at 100 acres. Total canned hunt in my opinion. I did the gracious guest routine and hung around camp, but no way was I shooting anybody's domesticated livestock under the guise of hunting. One of the invitees shot a 170" buck and StealthCam gladly paid the $9,600 trophy fee. A group of 180-class bucks were feeding behind the lodge while Sammy and I sat on the back porch. He said, "Don't you want to kill a buck like that? You are welcome to." I replied, "Yes sir I do want to kill a buck like that, but only if it is under free range fair chase conditions." To this day I have no appetite for Outdoor Channel shows built around this kind of "hunt."

He said, "Don't you want to kill a buck like that? You are welcome to." I replied, "Yes sir I do want to kill a buck like that, but only if it is under free range fair chase conditions." To this day I have no appetite for Outdoor Channel shows built around this kind of "hunt."

Then there was the hunt I attended at Ray Murski's ranch in Meridian, TX. His ranch was just about 6,000 acres high fenced. I accepted the invite based on my opinion that it would be fair chase hunting that size area. Well, by daylight the next morning I'm looking at 38 racked bucks in a greenfield. I turn to the guide and ask, "does every deer on this ranch have a tag in its ear?" He says, "Oh yeah. Every one of these deer is pen raised and then released." I asked if there was any place where I could hunt a free range deer, and he said yes. He took me to an unfenced area of the ranch and I killed a nice 10 point that is considered inferior by their standards, but I was glad to have harvested him on my terms. It turned out to be win-win because Ray graciously accommodated me and I didn't shoot his pen raised livestock.

Free Range - Where the deer and the antelope play
Small Pen - Bottle fed pen for the fawns
Big Pen - Where the daddy deer range

Just how big are these pens?

This is the dumbest crap I've ever read. Congratulations on killing a buck in a barrel in a high fence free range pen. You are the great white hunter. More like the great white hype.

Did you rattle and call him up? As in shaking a bucket of feed, not using rattling antlers and holllering "C'moan boy, heyuh, heyuh? That's how I call the cows in our high (65") fence cattle operation.

We have a small high fence operation where the head catch is, then a large free range high fence operation where the pasture is. For $5000 I can guarantee you a shot at a piebald Simmental bull. He's currently in the small high fence breeding stud pen, but I'll put him in the large 100 acre high fence area so it will be sporting when you shoot him.

Re: Monster 14 point - 12/02/16 11:24 AM

I doubt that is a breeder buck. I've been to a couple of these places, and I'm sure they all do it different, but the ones I've been to cut the antlers off breeder bucks to prevent them from injuring each other. (And to keep people from shooting them illegally ) P.S. never hunted at a place like this.

I had not read up any more on this post since early yesterday. WOW has it turned out to be quite an entertaining read.

Where in Alabama has anyone had the same mature buck or doe come by their stand (within 100 yards) multiple times in less than an hour. That deer must have thought he was either in a photo shoot, or a petting zoo.

Gott'em with the old neck shot. Corn AND BREEDER PELLETS were scattered everywhere.

He's obviously using the poultry farmer definition of free range. It's in a pen, but the pen allows him to go outside, so it must be free range.

Re: Monster 14 point - 12/02/16 01:55 PM

I reckon young guys just dream of killing a giant buck just so they can come to aldeer to show it off no matter how they killed it. If it was shot in a pen they fab up some bulldoodoo story about how it was free range. If it was free range they most likely shot it at night and make up bs about how they were in the stand etc. it's like they fantasize about trying to blow our minds by being the best deer hunter in alabama. I just don't get it. Shoot what makes you happy and be honest about it cuz us rednecks will get to the bottom of it one way or another.

Honestly can't believe nobody has stalked his personal fb page. No Mom or girlfriend pics. This aldeer gold is quickly dying off

Man, you must not know a thing about free range high fence deer. That buck was trying to get back to that comfortable feather bed they had for him in the barn in the breeder pen but the gate was closed so he kept walking back and forth waiting for them to open it. In the breeder pen is not considered 100% free range but outside is. That's why "pine sapling" specified it was 100% free range high fence.

I wonder why. Because that would blow your fair chase story.

But there's two different and unrelated posters saying you made an inside the preserve fence kill, with one saying the buck had been released from the breeding pen 12 days prior, and if that's not enough, there's that pesky congratulatory facebook post with the guide (by three accounts an honest and decent man who wanted to clarify the situation) and the caption above the photo clearly stating that the kill was made inside the preserve fence.

Nah, your not sitting there screaming about where it was killed.

But you're right. There is no debate.

Wow. You don't see me sitting here screaming free range or inside of a high fence. This isn't a debate on where my deer was killed. It's how much it scores we are discussing. But I sure do appreciate you bashing my biggest kill ever!!

For some reason his post where he was pissed off that no one gave him attention for the fantastic accomlishment of hunting on a food plot bothers me as much as this post. What kind of weirdo signs up for a web site, makes a forgettable post about sitting on a food plot, and then scolds the 49 people who bothered to read it for not giving him high fives. Some strange psychological stuff here.

Dude..Your a smhuck. I didnt bad talk you..congratulated you..but instead..you turned out to be another young arsehole like timber2. You clearly stated free range and came on here like you accomplished something.

You didnt.

You PAID for a deer..based on his size..which I guess would be a CULL in a pen.
You misrepresented yourself..lied and made an arse out of yourself. Grow up..and learn to hunt.
Id rather you killed a fair chase lil 6-8 and posted in then that shucks. What a loser.

I'm pretty sure that Murphy's Law clearly states that if you have to repeatedly proclaim it was a "free range" kill, it wasn't a "free range" kill. Or something like that.

If you killed it in a high fence, who cares. But don't say it was "free range".

Did you not say that it was 100% free range? I remember reading that and I see other people quoting you as saying that as well. It was in your post about people bashing your deer but now that whole post appears to be gone. I haven't piling on you like everyone else has, but to say you never claimed it wasn't high fence is a lie.

He was in a 700 acre high fence. Not the small pens that you just walk in and are guaranteed a deer. To me that is a free ranging whitetail. I understand the way yall could of took it and believe y'all did! Great job! Hope it was fun. But All this shi* talk and y'all wanna believe everything everyone is saying ........ How my daddy payed for me a deer?? How they led it in on a leash.. All the various rude comments... I hope you feel good about yourself!! My, my. If he was convicted of the Domestic Violence charge then he is a person forbidden from possessing a firearm under FEDERAL law. This could end badly for him.

Social media might just set you free of your job. You've stated you work for the man that owns the preserve and if you've read the earlier part of this thread there are people in here that know him to and your boss apparently wasn't very happy about that deer being advertised as free range. I think you need to stop trying to defend yourself on here and own up to your mistake. That's would good, honest responsible people do.

I think what he meant to say was that the buck could free range anywhere isnside of the enclosure. No inside fences or cross fencing.

Please tell us all how you were in possession of the firearm you used when you have a domestic violence charge??? Did you somehow get it expunged by Obummer or something?

You have to be convicted, not just charged.

Dude does it really have to be spelled out for you or can you just not admit to the stretched story? You claimed it was a 100% free range deer that you had put in hour after hour to get, and it was the furthest thing from that. Nothing wrong with a guided hunt if your into that but don't come out beating your chest like you stalked it and killed it. Everybody was supportive of you until the lie came out. You could help yourself out here.

Horsechitt you busted up in here lying about it, bragging about it.

I'm a good mind to cancel your hunt on my guys, little big pen next year.

So now that there is no question that your first story was a lie, could you at least indulge us in telling us what really happened? I want the full details of the hunt, from the moment the fence swung open to the time those antlers hit your bath tub. Was this a cull buck the owner let you shoot for free or how much did you pay?

He also probably talk with a lisp, which is not something to make fun of but totally deservable in this situation. The Truth always comes out.

There are lots of threads started and PICS posted here involving big bucks that Aldeer members have killed that are 100% legit from start to finish.

Those are most enjoyable to see and to read.

But every once in a while a "Winston County" or "Monster 14 Point" thread comes along and these great Aldeer detectives blow it wide open exposing the lies and wrongdoings of the Op.

Travis, that is what you have experienced with this thread.

What is truly sad to me is that you don't really even show any remorse at being exposed for making this hunt and kill out to be something that it really wasn't. It was not a 100% free range kill that you put hour after hour into to kill this buck.

I would venture to guess that you are only sorry that these guys here at Aldeer busted up your story, you are not sorry that you came on here and blatantly lied about how it all took place.

Your best move would be to come back on here, admit that you lied, tell the truth, apologize to the owners of that preserve that you misrepresented a kill from their place on a public forum and learn a lesson about all of this for the future. Don't offer any excuses or make denials for what you did, just own it. Then some how, some way you need to learn to develop some honesty, integrity and character in your life.

Please don't think that I'm trying to bash you or run you down.

You have made some mistakes here as well as other places in life it looks like. We all make mistakes. Lord knows, I have.

If I had a son that had just done through this thread what you have done I'd try to say some things to help him. That's what I'm taking the time to do here.

You did no wrong by killing a buck in a high fence preserve. Nothing you did was illegal there. If that is what you like to do, then go do it by all means. Just don't come here to Aldeer and make it out to be something other than what it really was. It'll never get by here. Never has and never will.

True remorse and real honesty would carry you a long way here now.

We had a fellow up here that killed a couple of monsters 160+ every year and claimed to have killed them at their club. I called BS on the first one but most took it hook, line and sinker. He was going legally and killing them on a canned hunt and driving back to the club sometimes the next day and taking pictures. What some folks do for attention is amazing.

Dont know the fella that killed this deer. Just want to give a shout out for the land owner. They are some great people. They donated their land and animals as well as time and hospitality for a dozen or so kids a few weeks ago. Kidzoutdoors youth hunt weekend. From what I understand there are a few "free Range deer" that were pinned in when they fenced it. And they believe this was one of them. My son killed. Either way, it was in a high fence and I was still proud of him for making a good shot and he was happy.

For a moment, I actually felt sorry for this attention starved POS. Reading the PFF post from a few years ago took care of that one.

I do not think I have EVER seen anyone tell another poster that they were a low life because they hunted public land. If he were to ever meet Delta Dooler after those comments, I can assure you that any future communications would have to be from behind a keyboard. Being toothless makes it difficult to talk.

I am sure your father is very proud of the man you have become. All the money in the world won't solve all of the problems you may find and karma has a way of coming back to you.

Good luck in your quest for becoming the Internet's biggest azzhole, you are doing well so far.

Re: Monster 14 point - 12/03/16 01:33 PM

Can they close some public land for a couple of years and release some of these pen deer. Some places sure could use it.

Re: Monster 14 point - 12/03/16 01:34 PM

And Jaster, great deer for your son and good job by the owners.

If ole Travis would have come here, asked for a score and said he was hunting a preserve and killed a good deer, there would have never been an issue.

I've got more respect for the folks who go out and hunt public land. By all accounts, It takes a lot of time and effort to be successful hunting public land. It makes folks like me feel fortunate and kinda spoiled to have always been able to hunt privately owned land. Definitely doesn't make me think less of them as hunters.

A friend of mine was a guide at a large high fence in PA. He had a New York client that came each year and shot a 150-180" buck. The catch was it had to be on opening weekend of New York's gun season. He would shoot the deer and load it into his truck guts and all and haul ass home. He would then drag the buck into the woods where he hunted in New York so the trees and folliage would look correct. He'd then call his buddies to come help him track his buck.

He did it for several years in a row until his buddies got suspicious of him killing giants....for New York.... each year and they called him on it.

I call that dedication to the lie.

pretrial diversion - a person is charged but is not yet tried and does not have to admit guilt but does have to meet "certain conditions" - such as counseling/therapy, probation, paying restitution, etc..

it is a way for the person committing the act(crime) to right his wrong and be given a chance to be a productive member of society; and, possibly to never have the act (crime) show on an arrest/criminal record.

he may still be "in the program" and not yet completed the required conditions. he is not a felon and can possess a firearm, unless he has continued criminal behavior.

some folks may read these posts and clearly see some personality disorders - antisocial and narcissistic. i'm not a doctor and not saying there is, just stating an opinion. for the sake of his family, i would pray that his egomaniacal issues are resolved and he will prove to be a loving, kind, caring and devoted father to any children he has.

makes one wonder if there is any split personality/schizophrenic disorders too. how does one work for such a wealthy, prominent individual as mr. favre and the folks around him not know what is going on? this young man is living the dream and has the world by the horns but he has no clue. maybe he has seen what money and fame can do and wants a taste of it without the toil and sweat it takes to get a person to the top of the ladder. just the ramblings of an old lady (in other words, my opinion).

What that means is that if he completes the judges wishes, probably first and foremost a DV class, then the charges will be dropped (usually) or reduced to whatever the judge has agreed to reduce them to. Without running a criminal history we don't know what the final outcome was. I'm pretty confident that he wasn't left with a Felony conviction or that would have put him in violation of both Federal for the DV and Felony and State for the Felony.

A lot of times this is done in these cases because the two parties get back together and recant their story which makes it hard to prosecute, so the prosecution will work a deal to at least get him in a DV prevention program.

I did run his background. He completed pretrial diversion and the case was nol prossed. (Dismissed)

i know this deer was killed in a fence but if it is the uptons property, I used to hunt 942 acres of it before they bought Abbott hunting club, if that is their free range part then there are some good bucks on it. i was in the club for 2 years and saw a 146" 12 point killed by a 15 year old and I killed a 118" 9 point and a 110" 8 and a couple other good bucks and saw another guy kill a 110" 6 point and another really nice 6 point without brow tines and the guys over there shot everything that moved. John travis I think you can make some online friends on here but just be straight with everybody man. The last post you made might be the smartest one you've made yet. No man/woman on here is any better than the other because of the size of deer they killed or how they killed it. It's about sharing stories, learning from each other and and picking each other up when one had had a bad day in the woods or in life in general. Good luck to you man. I hope things turn around for you. Ball is in your court.

It depends on where your from. To us flat landers anything we can't see over is a mountain. I had to go to Sylacauga the other day and dread the drive between there and Alex city because of the "mountains".

I love shooting pen raised quail and catching pond fish. No meat eating hunter should have a problem with killing a pen raised deer. I'd even call it hunting, but no trophies to collect IMO. Do what you enjoy, don't have to do it the way others do it.

Travis. Good of you to come clean and make amends with an admission and apology. BUT...A deer killed inside of a high fence is NOT a free range deer. Does not matter if its 10 acres or 10000 acres. P&Y and B&C will not accept deer killed in an enclosure for entry.

Good way to start climbing the ladder again John.

Just a few notes here for you:

1. As mentioned, B&C and P&Y won't accept trophies taken from an enclosure regardless of acreage.

2. SCI will accept your trophy into their record books.

3. No need to a 60 day drying period because as mentioned, B&C and P&Y won't accept and SCI doesn't require a drying period for entry unless it's top 20.

4. Your comment that is now my favorite quote of Aldeer all time is now my signature.

100% free range in the big pen
Posted By: AU338MAG

Re: Monster 14 point - 12/05/16 05:23 PM

This thread has really hit the skids since Travis showed some contrition. We were easily heading to 20 pages.

In regards to fair chase in the big pen, I can offer some experience. I have a family friend who has an enclosure around his property. It is not a pay for hunt facility and by invitation only. I hunted it a few of times with my father about 15 years ago. I kind of expected this before we hunted but it just doesn't feel right to me. I saw a few really big bucks while in the stand. The deer inside adapt in certain ways to their confines. If it is a really thick spot the deer will bed in it and let you walk right on past them. If you turned and walked directly into the thick spot they would bolt. I shot one deer they had identified as a cull - a 195 lb. 4-1/3 year old with a 9 point rack. Never have scored it but I would guess around 115.

One time I was walking through the woods to a stand and started hearing a loud rumbling noise coming through the woods. Then a group of maybe 30 deer came stampeding within 20 yards of me. I took cover as I thought I was going to be trampled. After the deer passed, someone came by riding on a golf cart. They weren't intentionally pushing the deer, it's just a herd mentality reaction to the circumstances. Definitely not how free range deer react.

I would never pay to hunt a facility like this, no matter the size. The idea of shooting deer like cattle just does not appeal to me. Especially if these deer have been artificially inseminated with the genes of some super freak buck raised in a pen for his nut. Some of those non-typical deer are ridiculous and look like lab freaks to me.

Yep, and the whole story about the deer hasn't even been told. The version I heard would've actually been a funny story. And there's more truth to what he said at first than most think.
My understanding is, he was NOT hunting inside the fence, he was hunting the fair chase portion. The deer WAS in the "big pen", and came to the fence line one too many times, so ol boy decides he's gonna shoot the guy's 150" breeder buck. He and the landowner are evidently buddies and it was all laughed about. If this is true JT, why not just tell it the way it was? If you were gonna lie, why not paint you a black eye on and tell us the landowner "socked" you after shooting his BB. That would've made the story much more enjoyable and believable.
Kudos for admitting you were wrong for lying, but you have a criminal history, and without knowing your true integrity, I'd be more apt to show you the working end of a sidearm rather than shake your hand if you showed on my doorstep. Hate it's that way, but you did it.....not me.

If he wants to "stay on this forum and prove himself" like he said, I think he should tell us the true story. If its anything Johnal3 says, Im not forgiving the guy or giving him a chance until the full truth comes out.

Re: Monster 14 point - 12/06/16 03:42 PM

So technically speaking, he was hunting free-range. He didn't lie about the area where he was sitting, he just left out the part of where to deer was.

Also if this was in fact a breeder buck, they have piss-poor genetics on their place.

The deer you're talking about want from dream ranch. There's another high fence down the road. They left the gate open over night. He lives next door. His daughter shot it.

Re: Monster 14 point - 10/22/17 07:45 AM

I know the gate got left open at the Pilot plantation in safford in 2001. Drunkass farm manager left it open. Lots of red deer got out and got killed. He got fired.

Re: Monster 14 point - 10/22/17 07:49 AM

I ask Matt because when I first put up my big front gate to keep folks from coming up to the house I didn't lock it. Found it standing open a couple of times and started locking it up. Also put up a night light and camera. No problems since.

that farm manager needed firing and prolly an ass whipping. No excuse for that.

Dug out the cap he gave me, Waterloo. Step hills. Never knew it was that rough over that way. We went on a tour of the place. He had several ATVs, manager, chef. Can't remember his name. Seems like he had sold a business for millions and purchased the place to fix up.

Anderson book store owners???

Re: Monster 14 point - 10/22/17 06:40 PM

Don't think it was books. Maybe trucks. Really can't remember. Was invited to hunt back when I was involved with a hunting show. Cabin was three stories and has to still be there. Had a big arch over the entrance. Way off the main road. Had spotting scopes on the back deck to watch green fields 1000 yards away.

Re: Monster 14 point - 10/22/17 07:35 PM

Top Cat is spot-on. It wasn't the Anderson family (with Anderson Books).

I went to Deerstep for turkey hunting but I don't believe it was fenced then. I think he was in the process of it. They'd just opened the season over there, I think a year or two earlier. Just a few days.

Giant lodge, all first-class, food by a chef, the works. Lodge was super. The owner had 2-3 big Swarovski spotting scopes on his wraparound deck to spot deer in the fields below the lodge and beyond. He'd made big money but I can't recall for what; aluminum business perhaps? He died a few years later.

Dang I have not read all the thread until tonight !
So he does not kill his deer like the rest of us!
He gets a pen deer and claims to hunt and kill
like the rest of us and YOU GUYS BUST HIM !!!!
What nerve the guy has. I accept his apology
But earning trust and rebuilding his character
will be a difficult thing. It's just a deer , he wanted to be
Super Hunter? I respect Fred's stick and string more than
any kill!

The deer you're talking about want from dream ranch. There's another high fence down the road. They left the gate open over night. He lives next door. His daughter shot it.

Congrats to the young lady. So can she enter the deer in P&Y? It was technically free range when she killed it. It's life history ain't her problem.

Where did you apologize the first time? Looks like you’re lying even in your so-called apology. You’re too lazy to even type out what your apologizing for doing wrong to boot. Maybe you don’t even even know.

Someone hit it in on the head earlier with the narcissism comment. You see it it in his posts and everything in between. This guy is clinical. He probably choked his girlfriend because she said something wasn’t the biggest she had ever seen. Hell, maybe she just said his little boy swoop-do didn’t look cool. Maybe she just said he was wrong about the sky not being blue. I knew that once someone offered him a get out of jail free card by apologizing he would jump on it and play the seeking redemption card. What a sorry sack.

I deal with a lot of people like this guy in my profession. He’s not changing, query as to whether he is even capable. He probably didn’t get enough attention as a little boy with Dad making the fat stacks and now he’s fucked for life. Maybe he was just loved too much, spoiled, it goes both ways. It’s sad but only in the way that he is a sorry waste of life. Take that back it’s also sad for anyone who has to be around this guy including his little girl. Guys like this wreak havoc on the emotional and often physical health of everyone around them, especially their children. I see it every day.

I have a friend (Jack) that was a good friend with Jim Henderson, the guy that started it, passed away a few years back and his kids did put it up of sale. He did get some of it fenced in.

We burned the pines last year for the new owner, he's a nice guy and also owns land in Colbert. Used to talk with him a good bit when he was at that place.

The only black painter I have ever seen was in a free range big high fence so it doesn't really count I guess.

Was reading through this amazing thread and saw your comment Geno. I think you were trying to be humorous but I think you hit the nail on the head and it is very sad. That buck had probably observed others being let out of the small pen and saw their fate. I bet he desperately wanted back into his safe space much like a dog and his crate.
