Well I finally got my youngest daughter her first deer. Wow what a rush! I could feel her trembling all over as she was propped up against me. The scope was shaking all over the place and I never thought she would hit this deer at 50 yards making a scrape and putting on a show. Well he didn't take another step, she dropped him in his tracks. There was high fives going everywhere and the smile on her face was priceless and the tears filled her eyes. The day before she was down and out, because we didn't see anything and said she was bad luck. She said daddy you kill them all the time, but when I go we don't see anything. I tried to explain hunting public land hunting from the ground where you rake back the leaves and lean against the tree is not easy. No heater, no shooting house and Bankhead National Forest. I couldn't be happier.
