We've decided not to bow hunt or gun hunt this year...

We made the decision as a group not to hunt with bows or guns this year. I think it will be tough, but it's best for the herd. I think with the decreased pressure, the deer will have less pressure and anxiety and will be happier in general.

I will be the only one allowed into our deer sanctuary, and I'll have to wear Indian moccasins to avoid crunching any leaves.

Good luck with that. I heard them deers can run really fast. Send some pictures of all your spear and slingshot kills.

So what kind of slingshot are you using or going straight tomahawk on them?

your club could start the reversal of GLOBAL WARMING. I wish more clubs had the savy yours does ! Since no one is hunting, why not sell more memberships. You could figure 20 hunters per acre. you could start a whole new trend in deer hunting in Bama. No more bitching by wives because you have been gone too much and neglected honey -dos.

That's the idea. And besides, I'll have more time to work on my Indian wardrobe for when I do venture into the sanctuary.

Hey 270, How can a fledgling club like mine start to put a plan like this in practice. All of the details and how to's are a little bit overwhelming. For instance, What do I say and how do I talk to my wife while I'm at home during Deer season? Most of us have no experience with that. How should I invest all of the money I'll save by staying at home? Buy a bigger boat? Or should I just do something useless with it like buying new appliances that work?

SHould make for some super hunting next year if you let them rest that long. Were already seeing awesome results from our ban on bow hunting. Camera recon shows a 58% increase in buck pictures. But what makes it where we know its working is that most of themn are daytime pictures and before it was like at 95% night time buck pictures. We just know what works for us

Metal, these are all very good questions. It is important that you stay out of the house, even if you're not hunting. You should minimize your contact with your wife, to avoid unnecessary chores that she'll undoubtedly think of. If you have a shop, that will be the best place for you. If not, I'd find a shovel and dig a big hole, then fill it in again.
