Oct 15 - feb 10. No close dates.

10/15-10/24 says bucks only with a bow I believe

That's a head scratcher too since they got more deer than the north in general.

It's BS, call yer Rep. and make some phones ring at DCNR in Montgomery. Go to one of those little get together's Chuck Sykes is having peddling how wonderful game check is. He got in bed with enough members on the cab to pass his game check and he kept his mouth shut about the season extension for NA. No biologist recommended it, word I got from one was "we were blind sided".

Because we didn't need it , there's no biological reason, the state biologist didn't recommend it. Chuck Sykes told me face to face two years ago there would be no Feb. hunting in Jackson Co. I don't like being lied to. The main reason is HOW we got it, back room deal to get game check passed. The only people that really benefit are the high fence places. BTW, the fellow that made the motion at the CAB meeting to vote on extending the seasons family owns Dream Ranch. Crooked conflict of interest, IMO.

Does it not seem odd that the season had ended last day of Jan. in NA for 40 years or more in some places, but it gets extended BEFORE we gather all that game check data? It took LA 30 years or more to get a needed season extension , now two years later the whole state needs it, BULL$HIT!

I'm glad they extended it. I'll finally get to hunt the rut in Marshall and Blount county.

I was just curious. You seem pretty pissed about it. It doesn't really matter to me. Rut is way done by then over my way and food sources get busy again. Maybe I'll catch one of those big deer from my neighbors place easing into my corn field since we got a few extra days now.

I'm just already tired of dealing with everybody else's crap by the 31st on our place. Guess it won't kill me. Oh well I may even get some wallpaper out of it.
