High fence spin off question

Does anyone know how many acres are required to put up a high fence. Not for breeding, or for commercial use. Just say I had a tract of land and wanted to fence it to give me more management control, is there a minimum size?

I doubt I have enough money to put up a fence, and what money I do have I will probably use to buy more land. But I was curious, you know in case I ever win the lottery.

Last time we checked it was 10 - 12k per linear mile. 1 section equals 4 miles. We passed and bought a new tractor instead.

Shoot that ain't too bad. I can fence off a 40 for 12k, then not have to worry about my neighbors shooting all my young bucks.

But you can't let them breed. Then you would have a breeding facility.
