Deer with Mange?

Got a trail cam pic of a doe that looks like 50% of it's body is mange, anyone seen this before, does this effect the meat on a deer, can it spread to another deer?

According to a Westervelt biologist it's not all that uncommon. I killed a good 7pt a few years back with a severe case of the mange. NASTY!!!!! I also have pics someone sent me of a spike with all of his hair gone. Someone had killed the spike with a bow.
