LFTT 11/30 hot and humid edition

Despite the weather I am here.

I'm here too. This hot weather doesn't have me to excited but I'm glad I'm here.

52 degrees and light rain on me. Deer are on their feet. Small 6 and 2 does so far

About to head out on a track this morning. Buck was shot yesterday evening. Hunters have found lots of blood and already trailed it a good ways. Not sure how this one will go. Meeting another tracker there as well with more experienced dogs in case the track gets too long for Otis or he can't find it.

Better watch for snakes!

I got more buck pics from my Coverts last night than any other night so far this year. It all started around 7:30 and cut off like a switch at 4:30 this morning. Nothing since....
I guess the approaching front had em out feeding?

I'm hunting Bankhead this morning. No deer yet but did give two coyotes a dirt nap. I'm happier about that than a deer lol.

Yeah, no chit...it's hot. We were in some prime moccasin habitat too. Ended up tracking the buck for about 700-800 yards before jumping it up out of a thicket. Found blood where we jumped it. Pulled Otis off of it at that point and put another more experienced dog on it. He pushed it around for about another mile before we called it off. We thinking the hunter must have hit it really low.

You bunch of no chootin sum beeches keep it up.....this is fun!

Back at it this evening sitting on a big green field hopeing a doe shows up at least.

I'm wearing turkey hunting clothes this evening and still sweated walking in a climbing up. This is ridiculous. Screwed my rut hunting up bad. It was just started to get good then, boom, hot weather. I guess I'll have to move my chips to post rut feeding patterns now.

Saw 17 this pm in this rainy mess. Does and same 6 pt from this Am.

Shot a decent 8 working a scrape right as the rain ended and to think I'd bout given up for the year!

When I got back to my truck after dark it was reading 69 degrees on the digital thermometer, and I saw zero deer this evening

My youngest boy was with me when I shot him, I wasnt going to go but he talked me into it so we closed up shop at 4 and headed out, 45 mins later he was on the ground! This is the first time hunting together that we've seen something decent and Im glad we got to share it together.
