Good luck! I'm on A side bowhunting. To many people for me.

I figured it would be covered up. I'm bow hunting also.

Yeah people everywhere. Just heard a shot.

I just heard the first shot of the day on the north end.

I've heard three shots. Two together sounded like misses.

Any deer sightings yet? I had a skunk (first ever seen while hunting) 10 feet from my stand at daylight.

No deer here yet. As hard as the wind is blowing hope your by thick cover.

I'll check in for my dad. He hasn't saw anything yet.

Anyone know how many permits were given out?

Nothing for me yet either. The wind is rough.

I need someone with a pack beagles to bring over here and drop em off.

Just had a doe slip by. Nothing behind her yet. At least I saw a deer lol.

They must not have started with permit #1 because I got 452 yesterday

My dads permit number was like 450 or so

Dad said he has saw a lot of does and a 4 or 6 point

I went in blind this morning and found some good deer and hog sign but didn't see anything. I came back to the truck for a snack and I'm headed back to the woods. I didn't hear any shots and I'm on the southwest side.

If I were hunting the southwest side as you are south wood I'd hit the hemlocks on the creek in this wind .

What's happening up there. Any good ones went down yet?

Only heard 3 shots and got sandwiched in between 2 jacklegs left came to work. Don't understand people trying to climb within bow range of your tree your in on rifle hunts.

How many are hunting a particular deer and how many are just hoping to get lucky

2 deer where checked in by 12pm. Everyone come on out this place is crawling with deer.

I'm actually in shock. With almost 500 people hunting on 35,000 acres you'd think deer would get killed for no more reason that they are being pushed around into hunters. Ive seen plenty of deer out here this bow season, and saw three this morning. Just no shooters. I think these deer are holed up in thick cover moving where hunters can't see them. The wind was brutal on ridge tops today.

Part of the problem is people don't hunt long enough. Most folks are done and back at the check station to see what's been killed by 9 am. Heck the folks that killed deer are still dragging or sitting.

Isn't there a 4 points on one side restriction for todays special gun hunt?

My pops connected on Black Warrior this morning, it was really windy but we made it happen. A few weeks worth of cyber scouting to pick the right ridge and a 2:30am arrival to claim our road was worth it.

I saw alot of trucks and Orange today. Wind was terrible. Finally saw a doe standing on the roadside on our way out.

Do ya'll really think that one biologist and a couple county wardens can police 92,000 acres? 5 city cops can't do that in a town with less than 500 people.


And BTW, I don't have to worry about it any longer anyway.

Hunted all day didn't see squat or talk to any body that did. Heard 2 shots right at day light. Nearly ran over a doe on the way home. Still a good day to be in the woods.

I was out there all day, and never came close to seeing a deer. I didn't even see a squirrel until 4pm! That's just crazy. I had planned to go back tomorrow, but I'm calling an audible and will bow hunt RSA in the morning, followed by watching Bama's defense stop MSU.

Hunted yesterday and back out here today. Haven't seen any deer but I have never had this much trouble finding a place to hunt on such a large expanse of land. I was here by 5 and had three spots in my mind I could hunt.....all three had trucks sitting on them. Finally, I just picked an empty area between the two farthest trucks.
