Land Between Lakes

I'm sure there have been post about this before but I'm just seeking info. Has anyone hunted here? I applied for a hunting permit this year but don't really expect to be drawn based on what I've read. Best areas to hunt, crowded, worth the trip?

Always several huge bucks killed there. Lot of land.

Lot of ticks and rattlesnakes to.

I've been the last 3 years. Seen plenty of deer. Use the same tactics as public land here. Pick a zone and learn it. There are plenty of big deer in each one. My buddy killed a 140 year before last on our trip. I think we are going to Missouri this year just to mix it up. We put in for a preference point though because we will be going back to LBL.
