I was just going to post that. Between this and the AR15 pistols with braces, SBR's are all but irrelevant. At least until a regime change occurs and ATF reverses their position on them
There are two types of gun enthusiasts ... Those who have been F#CKED by PTG and those who will be!

I guess we'll find out at the Shot Show what exactly the loop hole is...
I won't be first in line to purchase one if they reverse decision you'll be holding the bag. Just gonna depend on where the initial price lands in the event that becomes an issue.
I don't need a $2k sbr that doesn't require a stamp when you can build one for less than 1/2 that and just get the stamp.
No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.

Goatkiller I agree & disagree. There's also the time/convenience factor that you're not accounting for.
It would be purchased as like any other gun you buy from a dealer(no 6mth-1yr wait time) and you wouldn't have to write the king when you wish to travel over a state line.
Not sure on this new firearm, but I know some states don't allow loaded rifles, this firearm because it's not a rifle MIGHT be allowed to be loaded in those states where rifles otherwise wouldn't.
But like you I absolutely wouldn't be the first in line to purchase. I'm glad to see folks are pushing the envelope to display the stupidity of the NFA. True I didn't think about the traveling across state lines thing. That would in fact come in handy.
No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.
