Saw a guy hunting today on TV and he put 200 grains in his ML. Four 50 grain pellets. He said 200 also. I never knew folks used that much. Anyone ever used or heard of that heavy a load..?? 150 kicks like a mule.

I cant imagine 200 grains of powder in a ML. The most I use is 110 grains of Blackhorn 209 and that recoil is pushing my limits

When I need expert advice I tend to talk to myself

I can't see how all the powder would burn.

100 has been working fine for me a long time.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

I would think that last pellet would look like a roman candle! Could you tell how long the barrel was?

It'll just blow whatever is unburned out the end of the barrel right behind the bullet. I doubt you'd get much in the way of additional velocity over a 150 gr load.

There was a heck of a lot of smoke when he pulled the trigger. Wish I had paid attention to which type of gun he was shoothing. TC probally.

If I had to bet, it is due to smokeless powder. Savage came out with one rated for smokeless a number of years back. Now it's off the market, but plenty of folks out there tinkering with using smokeless. Not a good idea.

The new 700 ml magnums will take 200 grains but I can get 200yards plus on my regular 700ml with 110 grains of pyrodex.

I can shoot 200yards pretty easy with all my muzzleloaders. Ain't got no problems doing it either. I shoot Blackhorn and 777 FFF.

I would rather be tried by 12, than carried by 6.

All I have ever shot is FFF at 110 grains. No problems at all.
