Wanting to buy a new scope for my CVA Optima, looking @ the Nikon 300 BDC, any other suggestions or recommendations?

I have a Nikon Inline XR BDC (maybe the same you're talking about). I like the adjustments on it because you can quickly re-zero the turret at the range, and you could probably use the turret in the field if you knew how much MOA to adjust. Mine has the BDC 300 reticle, but I haven't plugged the data into Nikon SpotOn program. Very clear for a $200 scope. Unsure of low light performance yet.

I got this scope with a ML combo, but I'd buy one now to go on any other ML. If you decide on another scope, I'd suggest a reticle with drop compensation marks like the BDC. I'll always have similar with ML or slug gun.

So, I'd recommend it. Here's the one I have:

Bushnell dusk to dawn with the circle x reticle.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

I got one I'd sell.

I use the Leupold Ultimate slam BDC reticle marked out to 300 yds.
Killed many deer and hogs using this scope on my Traditions ML

I have a Leupold VX3 with heavy duplex on my ML and love it. I don't like hash marks or lighted reticles on scopes.

I have the Nikon XR on my Apex, it does pretty good in low light for what it costs. I have an old Nikon UCC 2x7x33 on my Omega, to my eyes there is not much difference in the two when it comes to low light performance.

I haven't used the ranging rings on the XR yet, everything I have killed with it has been right at or under 100 yards.

Find a Gander Mountain that's marked everything to close. I bought one of the Nikon Inline XR 300 at the Florence store for 70% off and it was $59 plus tax. Great buy and they had one left yesterday.
