It was nice and cool yesterday Monday morning... perfect to get the dogs out for a little exercise. Turned out to be a pretty good hunt. My feist and cur treed 7, I saw 5, and took home 4. And we should have had all 5... one hit the ground and made it to a hollow before the dogs could sail on him. Not bad for full leaves and only one set of eyes!
I have a nice pic but do not have the capability to post them. Anyone want to help with that? I can text the pic if needed.
You gonna pull them pistols, or whistle Dixie?

This will be the cur's 2nd year in the woods. She likes to smell the ground, and much to my dismay, she often times will come off the tree, and circle it loosely, smelling on the ground (track barking) then go back to the tree.
I tied her up all last year, and although I do believe she's getting better about it, she did it some on this hunt too. I suppose I'll have to leash her again this year and hope that she gets over that little bad habit.
The black and white feist is a good treeing dog, that will stay put. He may circle the tree, but he's barking while looking up, searching for that sucker to twitch! LOL.
