the other day we were setting an mb550 on a Berkshire disposable stake. After driving in the anchor, we pulled it to set it and the cable came up about 6 inches and hung tight on something. Both of us pulled on it and neither of us could budge it so I decided it was good enough. That night it caught a dog. I reset the trap and last night it caught something else, I'm assuming canine by looks of the track. Had a catch circle area was disturbed. Obviously not a stolen trap. Anyways, have any of you ever caught an animal with a trap already on its foot? I hate to think about one dragging a trap around and I'd like to have it back. Just curious if those are 1000000 to 1 odds.

I've heard of trappers catching them with other traps on their feet but mostly in open country. More than likely it'll hang up on something and get lost.
