Any name will be fine with me. Trapsnappers, chain gang, dog catchers, etc.. I am going to try to get started this weekend.

Got to go to the woods Saturday to get trees out of the road. Might as well set traps. Any name is fine. Good luck folks.

Haha. I have been needing an excuse to wear out some subdivision coons in my dog feed at night. Now is my chance. My coyote set time will be a little limited for the next couple of months due to extra work duties.

I kinda like chain gang from Charlie's post.

Have fun y'all!

yesterday afternoon - set 1 cage trap for possum and 1 cage trap for coon. nothing in either.

set a couple of mb550's for something bigger but they were empty as well.

didn't help that last night/early this morning we had monsoon conditions. i'll keep trying though 'cause the critters are moving after the rain. hope this month is drier than june crazy.

Three points for Team 1. Sorry for the poor photo. I checked traps after 2 hours of weed eating. Is this sufficient for reporting a catch? If not, what else should I do?

had something slip one of the mb550's (deer maybe) but the other held strong.

add one possum to the tally:

i think the stifling heat is keeping the critters in the swamp but this one must have had a love for sardines:

Way to go Velvet. This one snubbed his nose to sardines for a couple of nights, but had to have some Friskies. Looks like until the weather settles, we're going to have to do this 3 points at a time.

Another one that liked Friskies. This is the third caught off this property since the contest started, and the fifth in the last 4 months. Is it unusual that all have been boars?

Good job. Not unusual for me, I catch a lot more males. I have always trapped in the traditional fall/winter season though so things may change now that it is year round.

I finally got around to catching my dog food thief at the house. Planning on setting traps for some corn robbers at the farm tomorrow.

1 coon

https://postimg.org/image/qf8pkxmyn/

OK, I'm still trying to figure out pictures without photobucket. I had to delete some pics off my phone today for memory reasons but I copied them to my computer first. Couldn't post from my work computer so I just took another picture of my original picture and tried to post it. Supposed to be a coon in a dp with my privacy fence in the background. If that doesn't work I will try and post the game came video of me trying to get out there before the wife got out of the shower and the kids up. No fun when you are still asleep and a coon nearly wrapped up in your feet. smile

2 more today. 1 beaver and 1 coyote

Hank: A little Yote Dope in a dirt hole set. Missed one with a few ears of fresh corn put out as a compass set. Missed another beaver in a trail too. Sucker dropped his two corn stalks and left. smile Reset the dirt hole with a field rat for bait.
