I don't duck hunt much, it has probably been 10 yrs since my Last hunt. We normally have tons of woodies in little wet weather swamps. Me and my 6 yr old boy did a little slipping around and jump shot a few. He had a ball and he had never seen a wood duck before. He made me put them inside the truck on the way home so he could show his sister. Was a fun couple hours!

Congrats! That's my kind of duck hunting. I killed a couple 2 weeks ago and roasted them one night. A good wood duck rivals quail as the finest eating bird.

That's awesome!! I loved duck hunting and would love to still be doing it. I just don't know what's happening down here in our area of the state. The ducks just aren't here anymore and has been like this for quite a few seasons. I would love to get my kids out duck hunting but it is just a big waste of time and they get bored. Even with all this super cold weather we still don't have birds. I sure hope things change in years to come.

Theres nothing better than involving kids into hunting. I go up to AR every year and my older 2 boys can wait for that trip every year. Sometimes its hard hunting with young kids but the older mine get the more its paying off. Its the little things in life.
