I have two locations picked out for the AM hunt and I am torn on which one to hunt in the morning. It's in central Alabama and the Bucks are still together.

1) location is a creek crossing between two pine thickets where two creeks come together as one and it is a low spot where they have easy crossing. Water oaks all around and fresh acorns on the ground.

2) location is a timber break between a pine thicket and a four year old cutover. I can see about 150 yards down the break and there is three good trails coming in and out of the cutover.

I have cameras on both locations and won't be able to check the cameras until later.

Cold and rainy morning tomorrow, so what would the great hunters of aldeer do?

Thanks

Dress warm or sleep in.

I am a bowhunter, so the choice for me would be pretty easy. #1.

If I ever have a choice of hunting acorns or anything else, I am typically going to select the best food source.

I'd probably hunt #1, because I love creek crossings.

Dang, sounds like two good spots. If you are even leaning slightly towards one over the other, go with your gut.
Gun to my head I’d go with spot 2.

Sounds like you have 2 good spots for tomorrow. Id like the creek crossing with the food source close.

# 1 for the morning, # 2 for the evening. Then switch for the next day...or I could go and "scout" for you in the spot you don't choose.

I’d take number 1 for the acorns
