I just joined a new club. They have a pretty good map but I'd like to put it into a GPS. I can easily match the paper map with google earth. Does anybody have an easy to use GPS they'd recommend that would let you put in food plots, stand locations, etc?

I think OnXmaps is good. I downloaded it and it looked good. Buddy uses it a lot for the reasons you listed. did everything i needed this past season.

I bought an OnXmap for my garmin a couple of years back. It shows every property line in the state of Alabama on it. Pretty handy. I'm not familiar with their app. Travis uses Huntstand lite app ( i think) and it is very impressive.

OnX on your smart phone is the ticket. Buy the premium package and your phone is now a great GPS.
If you're going to an area that doesn't have cell service, just down load the area in off line maps before you go. Pull it up off line and it pulls off satellite. It'll track your movements, drop way points and such.

I bought an OnXmap for my garmin a couple of years back. It shows every property line in the state of Alabama on it. Pretty handy. Just remember those lines are only as accurate as the mapping office in the courthouse draws them. I've seen several errors in their lines. Now section corners and section lines are right on the money. I've been standing over surveyed section corners and the blue "my location" dot was exactly spot on.

Right, for the most part, the areas that I hunt the gps maps match what I've seen marked. Always good to be cautious, though. Don't want to accidentally piddle into someone else sanctuary.
