Just got word of one on 17 before you get to 45, said they're checking license and coolers.

Well I'm glad to see or hear of some around. The only guy close to a game warden I have seen lately is the one that cleans up the shooting range at the upper Delta.

a road block checking hunting? licenses? And coolers?!? Damned - that HAS to be illegal! I am driving - NOT hunting! And if it is a sobriety check, then they have no right to ask for my hunting license!

1) It's a free country

2) I'm not warning people. There was a thread on here a few weeks ago discussing them, and I was just informing people who were interested in the road blocks that there is one in Mobile County. There were a couple members who wanted to drive through one and give the officers heck.

My brother got checked on the way home from the camp. One cop and two game wardens he said they checked all his information and looked all in the truck.

If you aren't hunting and don't have showing game to check, how can they legally ask for your hunting license, etc?

They can't. It's just going to take someone going to court over it for it to stop.

Sure they can. They can also ask you if they can search your vehicle, or any number of other things. You don't have to comply.

Should have clarified, they can ask, but they can't force it upon you, which I've been told they are. They're not requesting to look in coolers, they're just doing it.

Unfortunately roadblocks and etc: are only going to continue until people start going by the rules by doing simple things like filling out their Harvest Record and using Game Check. I don't agree with their tactics, but I can understand why they are doing it. Way to many people out there not following the rules.

A guy that works with me shot a buck last week. I asked him how he liked using the Game Check app? He replied that he didn't use the app. So I asked him if he just called it in? Obviously he came back with "Hell no I didn't even report it". I started the conversation knowing that he more than likely didn't do it anyway, but was hoping to prove myself wrong. Some people just don't get it.

Your last sentence pretty much sums it up, although probably not the way you intended.

The whole deal is a crock of chit.

I'm trying to see what I may have put in that post to you lead you to say "probably not how I intended it"? First night back on night shift So I may be lacking on my proof reading, and didn't catch something. Ha! Help a brother out.
