Mossberg SA-20 Turkey - 03/02/24 08:26 PM
well, not sure how it happened, I must have temporarily blacked out while at my local gun shop and ordered an SA-20 turkey model. Guess it is reverse to ask for feedback AFTER I already ordered it, but oh well. I played with one last year, but they didn't have one in stock for me to play with today.
Anyone have this gun? What about the ghost ring sight that comes on it, worth a dern? Got rid of my 940 with the red dot b/c I didn't care for that style red dot on a shotgun too much...but I may end up putting a regular sized red dot on it since it comes with the rail already. But chances are this season probably will just use the ghost ring if it's decent enough. I'm just a lowly factory ammo shooter, will be shooting Federal TSS #9 1.5oz mostly. I typically would just shoot it with the factory choke but not opposed to getting a different one.
So - any thoughts or recommendations? I'm not some maniacal turkey hunter like most of you guys , I usually just grab my gun, throw some shells in and hope I stumble across a dumb gobbler. I'm sure out of the box it will be good enough for that, but interested if others have any knowledge to share.
