Good luck to the hunters this morning.
silence - saw 1 hen pitch off the roost around 6am
I want to go so bad, but I've been stuck home as the flu rotates through my house. Home with my daughter now after my wife and son are finally better. I'm the last man standing.

Found #3 this morning gobbled one time, I setup where they like to travel and called a few times. Gobbler and 4 jakes showed up, dead at 6:54.

Nice job Austin. Congrats.
I am hunting a new 210 acre piece for the first time so was pumped to get here. Have heard four different birds so pretty happy so far. Set up now on two that were gobbling together. Least gobble was 15 minutes ago so I'm expecting to see them or hear them soon.
I got permission yesterday to hunt a field I had driven by and seen strutters on…it was a miracle I got permission as the guy had probably never given it before. They gobbled good on roost and then shut up…I eased around as I had to push it to get to the clinic at 8:15 and I was 20 min away…saw two strutters at 80 yards, bare crawled to a briar thicket and eased into a puddle. Eased up and sent it and rolled him…worked hard to find a property with birds up here and big relief it paid off. Walked into the clinic with a turkey which was hilarious seeing the nurses flip out 😂

That’s awesome Gobble4me - great story and congrats
What state?
I did not sit down to one - but one gobble couple times and he was back on me which is very positive - maybe he let me work him before season out

Found one this morning. Gobbled a few times on the roost and once or twice in the ground, then nothing. I went to where I thought he’d go, but (to literally nobody’s surprise that hunts turkeys) he went the wrong way instead. 2 days in a row with this bird and he seems completely uninterested in dancing.

Finally got in the game with one and had a sho enuff hunt, thank ya Jesus. Picked a totally new spot sight unseen that looked promising and there was a gobb, being completely unfamiliar with this area my odds were low but I got pretty close a couple times. I chased him around a bit and got him to acknowledge my calls, got an idea of what he likes to do. Got a good gameplan for next time.

congrats to the killers. This is 1/2 of todays haul. Going to help kill a bird (hopefully) tomorrow at a spot I've been wanting to hunt for a couple years.

Re: 4/27 - 04/27/22 10:45 PM
Congrats Gobble4me .
I wasnt familiar with this land new piece as it is my first time hunting it. We just bought it and had to give the old owner turkey rights until now. That was tough. Like I told MBrock it was hard not to "piddle" on my own darn land!
But it turns out to be as good of turkey hunting as I think the deer hunting will be. Heard 4 gobbling. Two together gobbled well for two hours.
Another came within 120 yards but was in another big food plot. I was in the woods between two. I ended up bumping a lone gobbler that never gobbled as well trying to circle the one. We saw each other at the same time as I came out of a creek bottom into the edge of another big field.
Was fun and learned the land. Walked over 17,000 steps on my fit bit which is around 7 + miles. Did not leave until noon, though the birds shut down at 830. Cant wait to get after them there tomorrow now that I know where they are roosting.
I think the hunting will be good the next week or so
We’ll, my 2022 Michigan Turkey Hunt lasted all of 3 hours. Drove 418 miles one way from Lake Bluff IL to Bad Axe, MI. Unloaded my gear at my buddy’s place and hit the woods around 3:00 PM. A little before 6:00 we called in a MONSTER Gobbler with his two hens. When he paused at 25 yards, my 12 guage Nova smoked him DRT. I have a great picture if someone (BC?) will post it for me. He had a 10” main beard and a 4” second beard.

I’m sure he wasn’t the only the only thing that got smoked, I bet your shoulder is in the same shape as the bird😂 that thing kicks like a mile!!!!
