Where y'all at weekend warriors? Drinking coffee, fixin' to go to work on a Saturday as per usual, and I am wishing I was heading to the woods. Good luck to everyone heading out and if you see someone filming on public land make sure to flip em the bird

Here. Good thing I dropped kids off at pool before getting here. Big tract of land and I manage to sit down 5 feet from a nesting hen. She busted outta here in the dark and scared the hell outta me! Good luck yāall!

Got on one but he skirted me wide. Trying to circle on him. He only gobbled 3x on the ground. Only bird Iāve heard. The nest has 12 eggs in it.

Reckon I am done for the season. Too tired after a long work week to get up at 2:30 to drive 1.5 hrs to club.
Next year maybe I can hunt more than 3 times

Good luck guys - on another invite hunt - just found out the bird we hunted yesterday been hammered hard all year - that prob why he flew 400 yards or more from us when it flew down and we hardly called to him before he flew down
Trying him again this morning - will not call to him on limb today
Atleast we got one to hunt

I got up to go and before I got dressed I decided I was too tired. Went back to bed and just now got back up. I've gotten up early to either work or hunt since the season started and had to have a break. Good luck to you guys that didn't lazy out like me.

Heard 2, couldn't get to where I needed to be because of hens. Got back to the truck and the gamewarden was checking out my truck. Parked on the land I own.

that's bad, because we are on the same team and did the exactly same this morning. I just kept thinking about all the yard and paperwork I've got to get done
There's always tomorrow and I'm heading up to missouri next weekend.
Heard two, I played the game with them for a while. Could not get one of them to fly the creek. They gobbled like they were ready to go.

Yard mowed, flower beds weeded, house cleaned, getting ready to sew a hole shut in some jeans, and I'm going to use some redneck engineering to attach a fan to a clamp for my barrel. The longest turkey dry spell of my life will end in somebody (me) or some turkey feeling lead.

Re: LFTW 4-17 - 04/18/21 04:24 PM
Iām making a midday pass through a place that just occasionally has a turkey on it. Just stretching my legs and listening to peckerwoods and crows really.
Should I hang around a pasture or some pines this afternoon?
