Happy Easter to all! He is risen!!!
Given our current church conducts services on Fridays and Saturdays, I went on my first ever Easter morning hunt this morning and killed my 50th career gobbler and #5 for the year (4 in Bama, 1 in TN). The turkey, along with a typical public land goober, tried my patience all morning long. Eventually, he and I both ended up alone, but not before the goober stopped his diesel truck a few times and jumped out and tried to burn up the last little bit of slate left on that pot call.
The turkey finally ended up in a place (around 10:00) that wasnt good at all for him and awful good for me. A little soft/sweet talk and he strutted up to about 35 yards on this gorgeous knob. It just never gets old men!!!
