Congrats! There ain't no law against shooting one a second time. I didn't like the way the first one I killed this year was flopping so I shot him again. Sure beats hand to hand combat. This is a free tip.

I may try that next time! My left arm has battle scars! LOL At one point, I tripped & he was on top of me... I had to kick 'em off & then get back on top of him, at by that point I could put my boot on his head... That's why I was out of breath, deg'gum

Keep shooting!.... PCP gave me that gem of advice several years ago when I was going through a very bad run of luck. The next bird I shot was still trying to get up as I approached him so I stopped about 15 yards out and blew his head off! It made me feel better and my bad season turned around and was one of my best ever!

Great, I like to get mine by 7 so I can go down to the local cafe and have coffee and breakfast with the old guys that use to could hunt. They love the stories and normally give it to one of them because they taught me to hunt many years ago.
